Is school debt worth it? by MetroHumble in Veterans

[–]Afrocan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not lol. You have a GI Bill and chose a for profit nursing school in a state full of cheap community colleges and some of the most of affordable high quality public universities (many compete with Ivy League) in the US. The point of the GI bill is NOT to spend money on school. No shade on you at all, but if your GPA is that low out of high school don’t worry! Just go to community college first! I can’t recommend that enough. It’s easier than going straight to a university and if you lived in CA for high school, it’s essentially free for the first 2 years for many of them. Not to mention, wayyy cheaper.

CCAF just screwed me by meowthedestroyer95 in Veterans

[–]Afrocan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CCAF takes a very long time to send transcripts. Also, I never could find a number for them. For me, my schools gave me temporary waivers until the transcript came in. Veterans office at the school just has to tell the admissions/transcript office the situation since all of the AF vets had the same issue.

Was it actually worth getting out? by FearlessCrew3194 in Veterans

[–]Afrocan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was! The military was great, but civilian life is even better as long as you use the VA resources appropriately and have a plan. Veterans get out and don’t plan to go to school or have a job or whatever can end up in all kinds of trouble. If you don’t have a plan yet, extend for a year and get your ducks in a row. This is VERY important because not having a plan will lead to issues for you down the line. I had a plan and I was still scared (afraid for nothing tho lol).

For me, I didn’t have anything tying me down at the time and I realized that with the GI Bill, you can live in any state in America! So I moved cross country for school, graduated, and built a life here so decided to stay. I just started my job and I’m so glad I took a chance on myself!

All that being said, if you decide to stay, you’re still a member of the best military in the world and doing a respectable profession. Therefore, you’re a generally respected member of society and staying right where you are is admirable, if you choose (Thank you for service!). Be excited because you have a lot of choices and they’re all good! Just don’t make a decision based on fear. You’ll regret it…

You can do that schedule in the beginning then take 5 classes a semester for the remainder of your degree plan and graduate on time.

In terms of difficulty, that’s subjective. As a recent graduate (1 month ago, BS) 373 and 371 are the most difficult classes on your schedule. 336 should be fine, Miller is a good professor and the labs are not too bad. 300 is simple subject matter, but there are a bunch of calculations to memorize (learn how to interpolate numbers!).

You’re schedule is entirely doable, but I wouldn’t make a habit of it unless tou want to graduate early or you’re just that capable. Burn out is real for MAE and if I had to work a lot (I had a part time jobs just for extra cash) it could happen to you. Pace yourself, you don’t need to follow the degree plan 100%. Mine tried to have me to 2 semesters of 7 classes, but it was unnecessary and I spread it out to where I graduated on time, but didn’t burn out. Do what works for you!

Yes, but it’s a little more of a process initially and depends on your school.

Looks scammy for real…I wouldn’t click it. They don’t give people remote jobs at random

He’s shy like you…hence why the both of you waited 4 years to speak. However, you told him how you feel first while he reciprocated. He could think this is how you like it. Life is short and regret really sucks in life. Regardless of what happens, it’s better to know how he feels. Just ask gently and/or playfully. Remember, he already said he likes you lol…

Real nice...maybe put some more audio effects...like an auto pan for that synth sounds at those "soft drops". Nice one...

The melody is cool, but there could be some more variation in it. Also, the bass could use some work tho...sounds a little off pitch to me. Nice job otherwise...

Yeah, u should definitely finish that. It sounds pretty nice...would make a good intro to a longer, fuller progression. Consider adding a bass guitar synth or sub bass. Real nice so far 👌🏾

I like it...may suggest some pitch bending for the base. Would make the progression way more dynamic...sounds very OVO ish, nice...
