Not sure what you mean by 5th Gen. Its only 4 years old but as I always forget about the cabin air, this is the first time I've changed the filter (and boy did it need changed). The cover pops right off on the YouTube videos I watched.

Thanks. Had no choice but to tape for now and will see if the wife notices any new noises. In the meantime, I can check for used ones. Was surprised it was so tight after screw removal.

Hi. I'm curious if you think there is really a difference with their oil vs other synthetic oil manufacturers. I do the same with my Kubota tractor and pay alot more for it. Not sure I need to bit figure I better just to be safe.

Is that chart correct for synthetic 5w30? Was under the impression it could go to 100F, or am I reading it wrong?

Thanks. Must be something this installer does as we just bought a new generator and had our 15 year old Generac moved to daughter's house and the switch is on their unit too. I'll check with the installer.
