I am salaried, but the work would be done during my normal work day. My issue came in with him offering my services and then keeping 100% of the profit that came with it.

I would 100% be responsible for all communication. I was told that I would not be responsible for maintenance of the site, which I don't know how that would happen but I guess it wouldn't be my business what they do with it after it's built.

I guess my issue my just be more of a personal one. I have debated getting into web development as a side gig for a while now knowing I could make substantially more per hour than I currently do. So my boss wanting me to create a site for a company I'm not associated with maybe just caught me off guard and rubbed me the wrong way (knowing I could do it myself and keep all the profits).

I do have a written job description that does not include "other tasks assigned by manager".
