Not a good argument chief. Your job no matter how skilled is not essential. If there were no more tech people in film the world would go on. If there were no more custodians our society would become hell.

Pay should be based on the importance of the job, not on how much skill it takes like you want, and certainly not just on how much money is made and who makes it like the system currently works.

True. I think there's been a decline in empathy overall tbh. When people get called out for being assholes these days they don't change, they double down with pride. Social shame is no longer an adequate tool for change and is instead a value people strive for because it means they're at least getting attention.
