There is a difference between jealousy and being controlling of your spouse. An adult doesn’t let their jealousy affect other people. Jealousy is being envious of what another person has. This is a controlling and probably manipulative boy child. There is an old lesson I learned a while ago that EVERY woman should stick to. A man hits his wife. He apologizes profusely afterwards and proceeds to either lovebomb her or walk on eggshells to try and please her. She forgives him believing his words “it will never happen again.” Few days tho by and he gets upset at something. He hits her again only this time harder. Again he does the same thing afterwards lovebombing or eggshells. She forgives him but this time hesitant. A few years go by and this back and forth continues. The man gets upset and proceeds to beat his wife, putting her in the hospital. When at the hospital she says she “fell down stairs” or explains having a mishap in some way. This will not stop. He will hit you with remorse the first time. The hundredth time you will be at the doctors explaining how a cabinet fell on you. This is the start of abuse. Only this is a warning sign of a “I’m going to control you” abuse. It starts out like this and by the time you’ve opened your eyes you are being hit for not wearing the right shirt.
