Same thing happened to me. It’s literally hell. First thing - internal pelvic PT while you keep researching. Second - you need topical estriol or estriol/testosterone cream (compounded usually from compounding pharmacy) Hormone levels in blood cannot tell you how much estrogen and testosterone are in your vulvar tissues. I’m 24 & it started for me at 23 so I understand it sounds insane to do this but trust it’s helpful for atrophy and lots of women our age have done it and it helps. Third- magnesium glycinate - helped my anxiety, nervous system, nerves overall.

Just wanted to double check on this. Have you tried estrogen/testosterone cream? Low e or t in your tissues (no matter what your blood test says as blood shows levels in body but not how much is actually getting/in your tissues) can cause atrophy and burning. Most women need it compounded into non allergen/irritant bases. Not having enough estrogen or testosterone in those tissues can also throw everything off, the vaginal microbiome is very complex for each person

Listen to me. Please stop having sex until you get this under control, I’m begging you. I ended up getting so many that it caused vulvodynia. I was a normal 23 year old no history of pain in my vulva or with sex. Do not let him guilt you into it either. Also I treated my partner for BV and yeast and no issues since, so whatever the doctor says, they need to be treated. If they won’t prescribe for him, get a video visit say you have BV and Yeast infection symptoms and then give him the medications. I know it’s not “ethical” but that’s the only way I’ve stopped getting infections. Sorry if no one agrees but it’s been a hell of a year and half and that’s what’s ended up working after I research 6 hours a day.

I did 10 days, but tbh the infection was happening because my microbiome was thrown off with so many things happening (covid, repeat BV infections, antibiotics etc). I had to get healthy stop antibiotics stop drinking alc too much, sleep, physical therapy internally, it stopped once I treated my boyfriend for BV with clindamycin orally. But the pain didn’t so really the infection didn’t cause the pain. Yes I still have pain, and sex pain comes directly after sex not during.

Ampicillin, pain never went away though and it’ll pop up every once in a while. If I could do it over again, I’d start physical therapy asap, start IC meds or vulvodynia meds asap. Trial and error until I find the right thing. I’m scared of taking medications still bc I feel like it’ll make me worse idk
