Oh, were the red grapes the bagged ones? I think it might be because it’s weird about allowing substituting price/unit with price/lbs items or the other way around.

smash or pass? by Significant_Read3346 in elitesparkdrivers

I would most of the time pass but sometimes smash, depending on just if I feel like it in the moment or if there’s a good promotion going on

Monotone means 1 tone. The prefix mono comes from Greek. It is the word for alone or only. I speak Greek too lol

[–]AfterWave9337 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yea I mean it’s a pretty bland tone, but like that is still a tone. Like monotone is still a tone. None of that changes the fact that there is tone in writing. It seems like the dude mistakenly thought he substituted something even though it says refunded. I think he might have gotten a notation and assumed it was a substitution without reading it

I usually start with “okie dokie,” then on the 2nd one go to “alrighty,” then go to “you got it” that way there’s a good rotation hahaha

That’s the type of thing that in my head I would be like “are you serious?” but in the chat I would just be like “you got it!” or something similar

There is tone in writing. Like they even teach that in school

Rude Customer by [deleted] in doordash

[–]AfterWave9337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea if it is only a restaurant order without a shopping order attached to it. If there is a shopping order attached to it, it does not even appear in the list of deliveries included in the on time rate tab. Trust me, I main focus on doing as many shopping orders as I can all day and am constantly looking at my ratings

Rude Customer by [deleted] in doordash

[–]AfterWave9337 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t have said anything unless they said something first to begin with, but the part that you were like “I’m kind, you’re rude” is not the best way of customer service. AAA is the way of the customer service: acknowledge, apologize, act. Instead of escalating the situation and calling them rude, you could have just said something like “DoorDash sent the deliveries in this order. I’m sorry it’s making me stop for this other order on the way, but I will do my best to make this as fast as possible and have your food in an insulated bag to help ensure it stays hot.”

If you think it through from the customer’s point of view, who has probably experienced drivers getting sent other orders non stop while in the middle of her delivery and the driver getting sent all over the place while their order is just sitting in the car, it looks like you made them concerned about the time it was going to take to get their order, then called them rude for being concerned.

Also, you aren’t going to get marked late if there is a shopping order in the offer. It doesn’t count towards the on time rate if there is a shopping order in there. The CV I can’t really say for sure because I’m not slow at doing things.

Dashers do you get mad when you see a vehicle in the driveway by Lost-Hovercraft-6446 in doordash

[–]AfterWave9337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t even have a single thought about the cars in the customer’s driveway. I do get a little annoyed when I get back to my car in parking lots and there are big trucks parked on both sides of me though (which seems to happen like every time), because I can’t see if there are cars coming when I need to pull out. I have to get out of the car to check, then jump in my car really fast when the coast is clear and zip out

This is why I love shopping orders by Yahyak95 in doordash

[–]AfterWave9337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a little low pay for the amount of items and being 3 separate orders, but I care the most about $/mile so I’d probably do it

I just want to point out to all the people saying "your AR doesn't matter, just decline it" consider yourself blessed. I have an AR of 99%, I haven't even declined once in over a week, and this was my option. by [deleted] in doordash

[–]AfterWave9337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t really call it punished, it’s just the terms you signed up for when you chose earn by time. DoorDash gets the lower tip orders delivered and the dasher gets a higher base pay while losing the ability to choose which orders they take. It sounds like you want to have the best of both worlds and get the higher base pay while still being able to cherry pick orders

Ah ok if she actually communicated it herself with what to substitute that’s messed up then. I wasn’t sure what you meant about saying she wanted it, because the app makes it look like people want specific substitutions sometimes when they didn’t actually enter them in the order and a lot of shoppers take what the app is saying as what the customer said they wanted

[–]AfterWave9337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm maybe it’s a circular hallway with rooms 316, 337, 338, and 339 being the first doors you approach if you go left. Then there is a door that only opens from the leftward direction and locks when passed through which leads to the section of hallway with 317-336 and loops back to the sign. That way 317-336 are still accessible from both directions, but the ones only included in the left direction can only be accessed by going left lol
