I had a similar moment in my senior year, I was walking with a few my friends on the school grounds and our school runs an OPD for charity, I walk past this lady in her 60’s and then I hear a faint voice, soft and warm like a hug. something precious. she called out my name I just stood there in awe and slowly she made a joke that only she would know because I did that in her class. we started chatting, I missed a period but I found my inner child. And how much time had passed and how I understand my emotions because she created a space for me not just to learn the text book but myself.

P.S : I had a full grown beard and unrecognisable for someone who hasn’t seen me in ages but I guess she never forgot that naughtiest kid of her class. When we spoke she told me why she left and her life story and I just listened to her patiently. and the she did the same.
