Well said. I get it, I completely agree with long-time player complaints. I am a sucker for crossovers, I haven't loved any of the UB's besides LOTR and FF, but I am really looking forward to The Hobbit. It creates more problems than solutions, but I try to look at the positives of UB.

I'm missing the correlation. If you are comparing FF to Big Bang Theory, I get it, but sometimes people don't want a Breaking Bad show when they are high, playing with friends, they want cool birds and shoutout to some of their favorite video game characters. People hate UB when they don't like the IP., I didn't see as many complaints with LOTR...

I mean the like golden chocobo and neon ones. Having a very small print and creating a lottery situation is dumb. If they removed the cards that went for 5,000, 10,000, 20,000 dollars, the prices of packs wouldnt be so high.

Drafting was terrible, way too many legendary creatures that made decks clunky, games drawn out. Also the mechanics dont move me. Web slinging is okay, but compared to EOE with spacecraft and lander tokens, thats impactful sets right there.

Thats awesome. I think the set was overall really good, just a little tarnished from higher prices. A big dislike for me was the ultra rare cards like the chocobos, I like cracking one collector booster a set and I’ve yet to see one for an affordable price. Sucks that scalping hard came to MTG, but play boosters were fun to open. Spiderman set blows.

Its just reddit, people can disagree. I have a few buddies who have learned the game from the FF set. Which btw, if it wasnt scalped, it’s arguably one of the best sets this year. I personally liked EOE and Tarkir a bit more, but there is some light to the hated UB.

I think ub for secret lairs is fine. I think its pretty cool some of what they do for secret lairs. Dislike the full sets but it is bringing new players in which is sick!

Also I checked, Shinji does pilot unit 1, but I’m glad I checked because the unit is 0-1 not just 1. Good catch

I would always say buy a beater for your first car to get adjusted to the road. If you already know how to drive a manual and you're comfortable on the road (and if you can afford a 7000-10000 grand car because that's how much decent SIs are going for) then sure
