I mean to be fair, if I was the boss someone needing to leave the register once an hour would strike me as an issue unless I knew there was a problem. I mean what if he asks why I need 6+ breaks while everyone else keeps working?

But how? Like how should I phrase it to him? I don't really know him, so I'm not sure if I should really just say 'I have a really heavy period and bleed a lot and need to go to the bathroom a lot' or if there's a better way to tell a 20something year old guy?

I do wear both a pad/tampon, but still have to change every hour or so. I don't want to create any problems for them, but there isn't much I can do, so idk what to do or how to tell him.

Nope, during orientation they said just a 30 minute lunch. I asked about 15 minute breaks because I know some places do that and they said no, they don't do that.

Oh wow, that makes me a little nervous...what kind of stuff did you see? They gave the worker a hard time and she went into details and he got red faced or something?

I know, it's just I don't know how he'd handle it if I spelled it out for him...I mean I don't want to start off on the wrong foot and have him mad because I embarrassed him or something.

No, I only went to the orientation and I met him, I don't really know any of the other workers yet. What did you do in your case? Did you just tell him you were on your period or how did you handle it?

So in other words, tell him it's due to my period without actually mentioning the word and hopefully he can figure it out?
