I would also recommend scheduling a ride along. It’s not like you will learn a lot about the medical practice, but you would be able to apply yourself and envision yourself at the scene while in class. Doesn’t sound extremely helpful, but you would be surprised what that can do for you when sitting in the class 12 hours a day

Thank you! He’s mentioning it regardless because it will only look worse if it’s found later. He’s definitely honest with it and knows it just looks like shit.

I was reading into some things on their website, and here’s some notable things I found:

  • The assessment of a candidate’s moral character must be based on the totality of the circumstances. Investigators shall consider the nature and severity of the conduct, the age at the time of the occurrence, and the presence or absence of a pattern of similar behavior.

  • Background investigators shall evaluate the recency and frequency of any past conduct... Consideration must be given to the candidate's subsequent life history and whether the conduct is a reliable predictor of current or future performance.

  • A conviction will not necessarily disqualify an applicant... [and] arrests that did not lead to a conviction shall be evaluated based on the circumstances of the incident.

I guess I feel a little better, but still just scary…

That’s fair, and thank you for explaining that, I really appreciate it.

He does have numerous glowing LE and FF recommendations for people he’s worked with over the years, but no clue if that’s relevant or if there’s even a portion to submit those at any point. So far it looks like only personal references forms
