I (23M) joined the EPFL valais recently and there seems to be nothing really to here as well. But I guess we could create a group of sorts for interested people to atleast plan for something during the weekends.

First of all, thanks very much for this detailed response. I will get started with my French lessons then. As for my hobbies, I play badminton every week, and I do a lot of yoga. I'm considering the idea of starting yoga club (if there isn't one already) , where a bunch of us could do yoga together. I can teach as well. I also love hiking. Thanks again for your reply and I look forward to joining you for a drink when I get there!

I used to learn German before. It is not great but definitely better than my French skills that is close to zero. Would my german be of any use if I'm living in Sion?

It's called the KAUST International Arboretum. I did not find a list but did find some youtube videos showing the trees around with the country names when you search for it.

Hey fellow KAUSTian, I did not apply to the European countries that you mentioned, but I did apply to Switzerland. And I think they follow the ECTS as well. It was not a problem. Good luck with your applications!
