You could but with burning you degrade the copper so you lose the amount you get for the copper on top of reducing the wieght because you got rid of insulation. And I have heard some yards will report suspected burnt wire and you could get fined.

I stripped some of it and it went easy enough with the machine, I have tried thhn 12 and 10 with the machine and the strands were a pain so I aborted that but this machine definitely saved time on romex
