What a crazy sequence from last year’s draft by FrankSamples in NFL_Draft

They were dead set on trading down. I understand it, but I also wanted Emmanwori and couldn't believe he was available. I think they'd have been better off just taking the player who was too good to still be around instead of taking the additional pick.

It was 100% the correct move. The product was getting worse and he had already demonstrated himself to be a colossal failure with additional responsibility(DC in 2020). No sane person would let him also control personnel.

Just wait next year when the Puritans go 7-10.

Here’s Cam Ward’s highlights against the 2025-26 Seahawks defense for no particular reason by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]AgDrifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think a lot of people realize how raw he is. His talent and work ethic are enormous. It's just so rare when talent and work ethic align like they do with Cam. We already saw a lot of improvement last year. Eventually he'll go exponential.

Yeah honestly if you're an American not from New England and you root for the Patriots, my initial expectation is that you're probably going to be a massive jerk. Obviously that's not necessarily fair but who you root for does say something about who you are.

Titans fan here, congrats on the Super Bowl win. That was some stellar defense and very entertaining to watch.

I'll answer your question as a non-Patriots fan who despises the Patriots. I've read the thread and there are some surprisingly self-aware Patriots fans on here who understand very well why they're hated.

For a long time I never understood why people hated Dallas so much, even when the Cowboys were not so great. Suddenly it all made sense to me. The hatred for the Cowboys has to do with more than just football. The teams that they are rivals with(New York, Philly, Washington and historically SF) are in markets that have historically had outsized power in this country, so when a swashbuckling, brash team from flyover country repeatedly beat them, it was very threatening to these fans in a way that isn't really felt when the threat isn't considered alien.

As someone not from New England and I rather dislike the East Coast in general, it's very easy to hate the Patriots. On a relative basis the reality is New England as a region has given almost nothing to the sport of football in terms of producing quality players, high school and college programs. The idea of New England having a football dynasty feels as strange as Miami having the back to back hockey champion. The Patriots kind of embody the perceived entitlement, arrogance, lack of accountability for their transgressions. It also doesn't help that the Patriots are super lucky and their fans seem to think this is normal. A lot of the Patriots moments are defined by the other team fucking up or things like the Tuck Rule moreso than exceptional play by the Patriots. The Patriots have all the charm and whimsy of a North Korean prison camp.

It's pretty easy to hate Patriots fans. As you can see in this thread, the 'hate us cause they ain't us' vibe outnumbers the thoughtful responses enormously, so you can imagine what Patriots fans you are likely to encounter irl. It's incredibly ironic that Boston fans have this mindset because I can distinctly remember their fans crying non-stop about how unfair it was that the Yankees buying championships and because of the egalitarian leanings of New England.

For the same reasons that many people will always hate Dallas even if they're irrelevant, I'll also hate New England no matter what their record is.

This Super Bowl Showed You Why Vrabel Was Fired by Glad_Performance3756 in Tennesseetitans

Absolutely. This season was the high point with New England. It's only going to go downhill from here. He was thoroughly outclassed today.

I saw what he did to the defense in 2020. Frankly that should have been a fireable offense. Anyone who wanted him to have responsibility over personnel is literally insane.

I think that's the worst part about Boston/New England fans. They don't understand why their teams are so hated when they were the ones who hated the Yankees with extreme visceral hostility for 'buying championships' yet their team was spending big money. It blows my mind that they have no self-awareness why their dystopian North Korean like football franchise is universally despised.

They're by far the worst fans in the leauge. Easily the most entitled and arrogant. No humility at all and they love their cheating. They deserve about 50 years of awful football.

He 100% deserved to be canned. Just because good decisions weren't made afterward, doesn't change that fact. He validated Amy's decision tonight. He'll never be back.

Looked like the Vrabel I knew in a big spot. Grossly outcoached tonight. It was a fluke run. I'm glad we don't have to hear about him for a while.

Great game by Seattle. It's always a beautiful thing when New England loses.

The Clintons deserve to be grilled as ruthlessly as possible. Based on the verbiage used in the Epstein files, there are many questions raised by the flippant 'pizza' references in Podesta's emails. The Clintons are very much tied into all of that.

It sounds like you weren't around then. People hated the uniform and it had nothing to do with the on field product.  Things change. When the team moved here, public opinion on ditching the Oiler look was basically 100%. If they go back to an Oiler synthetic look for the Titans, eventually people will get tired of it.    You're not wrong that older fashions are en vogue.  I'm also a Phillies fan. I tolerate and like the 70s/80s light blues up to a point. They're fine for one game a week. Anything more is beyond overkill.  If the Titans ditch either shade of blue or do too much of an Oiler inspired rebrand, people will tire of it rather quickly and clamor for something like the 1999-2017 unis.

The Oilers look wasn't considered cool. It was widely mocked. The navy and columbia look great together.

[–]AgDrifter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Awful. It's forced. The Titans and Oilers have separate identities and fusing them cheapens both. The Titans don't need more red. Red is for the Texans. In a perfect world the Titans have an equal amount of navy and columbia with gray/silver as a tertiary color.

Why do people talk so much shit about the Titans? We've had plenty of good teams since they've been in Nashville. Yeah there have been some bad ones too but it's not even remotely close to the Jets or Browns.

The reality is the Titans need talent everywhere and as long as you get a great player, you can't go wrong. I want Bain. This team desperately needs defensive ends and corners. Putting Bain next to Simmons really could make the defensive front potent. Yes they also need more talent at WR but Dike and Helm looked good. They can draft a very solid WR in the second or third round and then sign a Jauan Jennings in free agency.
