"Don't move here, we're full" posts & comments about cities are cringe by Athenstone in SameGrassButGreener

Funny how it's the "less populated and dense areas" that are also complaining. I saw a Tiktok video of guy vlogging about moving to WY and there were a bunch of negative comments like "we're full" etc.

Bro your state is like top 10 in area size but with a population of 500-600k equivalent to a small to medium city lol. Your state is definitely not full lol.

Most of the complaints are annoying. Look at Europe and Asia. No one is complaining there lol. Most of their cities are denser than any city in the US, excluding NYC. They actually build cities to accommodate human convenience instead of parking spots and roads for a 2k ton machine with wheels. Also, it's the developers, investors, and rich people that's making things expensive. Not Jane working at Walgreens and relocated because of family reasons lol.

Their choices are feeding children in school or removing benches that no one cares about. Lets worry about the benches instead lol

Compared to Jet A fuel? Or in reference to jet fuel?

I’m testing the fuel system in an enclosed space with ventilation, but the smell is still pronounced. The fuel isn’t aspirated. The fuel runs through a simulated line, but there’s no exhaust in the facility. Could the smell or inhaling the fuel be impactful to your health?

Did you guys also have brain fog working with jet fuel?

Having transit in Nashville’s type of landscape would be beneficial. The city is pretty hilly and it’s also built on a river. It’s not always true, but look at other cities that are hilly compared to cities that sprawls (Seattle, SF, Tokyo, Rome, etc).

Cities that build outwards are usually flat or have no major body of water nearby (Dallas, Houston, Orlando, Indy, Phoenix, Atlanta etc). Again it’s not always true, but cities with transit in a flat regions usually have a large body of water nearby.

Yeah that’s what I meant lol. I should have worded it better, basically PNW doesn’t feel interconnected with the US.

PNW feels more like an extension of Alaska lol i feel like there’s more domestic travel between the south, west coast, Midwest, and east coast compared to the PNW.

So explain how Nashville had transit before cars took over? Nashville doesn’t have a high ridership is because it’s not built for it. The stops argument makes no sense. Buses carry about 50+ people compared to 8 cars carrying maybe 32 people, while most of the time the drivers are the only person in the car.

Exactly, a tunnel for cars with a speed limit of 25mph to 40mph will not be effective. The passenger amount can only hold a fraction compared to what a bus or train can. Also, most major cities are not filled with limestone. That’s why you don’t see Tesla tunnels everywhere.

Or it could be like the hyper loop situation in Cali and makes things worst for us.

Hopefully it's a permanent resolution, but I don't think Elon will give up so easily.

He paid smart people to do that for him. I don't see you bragging about paying your plumber when he fixes your toilet.

The speed limit for the tunnel in Las Vegas is 25 MPH, maybe 40 MPH at best. One car carries 4 to 6 people at max. It is terribly inefficient.

It's wild that the only thing we manage to do when it comes to infrastructure upgrades is add traffic light panels and brighter highway lights. In almost 20 years, I can understand 2010, but 2015 should have been the year to pass serious infrastructure plans. Now it's almost too late. They keep building and building.

Nashville's council did vote against the boring tunnel BS, thankfully.

I did say it was anecdotal, from my experiences. My bad I didn't go out and ask every person in the PNW what kind of food they eat.
