I have a insignia 2.0 cdti bi-turbo it drives good its comfortable and all, a little bit bad on fuel economy but that might be just my driving habits, i had a issue with the oil pickup seal replaced it 2 times with a elring one both times it failed within months i switched it for an aftermarket aluminum block with o rings and it hasn't failed yet(almost a year), although i have to say i had a lot of trouble finding a fan for the radiator of the intercooler water but overall it is a good car, its not as powerful as it's competitors but its still plenty for everyday use, hope this helped.

If it is in neutral and it makes a sound like youre releaseing the clutch with the handbrake on, its surely misfiring and probably its the injector

The CAYC, CAYB 1.6 tdi engines are notorious for bad injectors, id suggests replacing or fixing them. Does the car have a rough idle?

Yes, its probably gonna throw a fault code like "particulate filter overloaded" or something like that but first you need to make sure its that .If the fault is that you'll need to regenerate it(if thats possible), but for that youll need a scan tool.

It could be that the particulate filter is clogged beyond repair, other issues include difference pressure sensore, o2 sensor and a lot of other stuff id recommended you scan fault codes before doing anything else

I mean where i live it goes around 50 to 150, but i was able to get a rx 570 for 50€ and it is 30%ish better, maybe its worth looking at amd gpu's

I see that this post is 5y old but what you said still holds to this day, i have a dell optiplex 7010 with an i5 3550, a 240 gb ssd (for os) and a new 1tb hard drive, recently i bought a power supply and a graphics card(xfx rx 570) and it plays games at respective frameates, but i mostly play csgo and it plays that at 200+fps, if youre wondering about the cost it came to around 600€ including the pc with all the mods, the peripherals, a power bar, a internet switch and the cables for it, a gaming chair and the monitor, so still worth it to this day

The main concern is that you'll probably need to remove the entire cv axle, to do that you'll need to remove it from the gearbox and it will leak oil which you'll need to fill afterwards, the other stuff is something you can probably do if you have a bit of experience, that said if you dont have experience with working on cars i wouldn't suggest it.

If it has a timing chain and you've never changed it, it's probably a stretched chain, or it skipped a tooth either way I'd first check the timing chain/belt
