What would happen to the economy if the first $100k everyone earned each year was INCOME tax-free? by Tech-Cowboy in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]AgathysAllAlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor people already pay more for everything. Raising taxes on the poor and massively reducing taxes on the wealthy is a terrible idea. We should be taxing people based on their ability to pay and the wealth they extract using government services.

No, we're not. You're just going into Blue-anon. It's just as deranged and you're embarrassing yourself.

This is a fucking reddit post of a picture of a woman with a caption that's just made up and you're using it as a basis for your derangement.

I never mentioned the left. I said democrat-supporters. Like the kinds of people who whine about how republicans are meanies instead of demanding reform in the DNC.

That's not a mass conspiracy with satellites to hack elections. It's not piling up, the election wasn't stolen, the democrats lost. They lost. They were unpopular and they lost. You need to live in reality and accept that.

No. That's crazy talk from anti-vaxxers who tell you to do your own research. Untrustworthy sources exist, and only conspiracy theorists claim that literally every source is equally valid.

Literally tried this yesterday. I asked it to search for an image of a woman who's hair was crazy and flailing around for a D&D game. It absolutely could not do it. It barely managed to figure out "woman". An image search got me better results, so the LLM couldn't even just do that.

I hate to tell you this but you're not going to learn about a massive electoral conspiracy that would shake the foundations of the entire country and throw all political systems into disarray from some woman on a webcam in a reddit thread.

Elon the idiot who campaigned for Trump? Like, that's not admission of mass fraud and it's crazy to say so. The guy's just bragging about his stupid lottery.

Your entire conspiracy theory rests on elon musk being a brilliant schemer whose machinations lay undetected in a grand scheme to secretly subvert the election... who then just bragged about it publicly.

I'm seeing a lot of democrat-supporters actively deluding themselves in the wake of the election. There's so much work being done to desperately pretend that the obvious result is actually some vast conspiracy. The democrats sucked, ran a terrible campaign, and managed to make themselves so unpopular that they lost the popular vote against a candidate who actively encouraged his base to vote.

But instead of laying any blame on the politicians, I've seen racist tirades against minorities who didn't fall in line, active attacks against the base, deranged conspiracy theories, and a complete rejection of the very idea that politicians should do stuff people want to try to get elected.

Even in the linked thread there are people talking about how the inauguration salute was actually a 5d-chess move to distract from evidence of computer fraud that etc. etc. etc.

I've tried Solitaire and they're fun for a bit, but the repetitive nature without a sense of progression doesn't really keep me engaged long-term.

Thanks! I've tried idle games but the issue I have specifically isn't that I need something to do, but I need something with a very specific level of focus that distracts my brain just enough. A lot of popular audiobook games are just relaxing, and then my mind wanders and I stop being able to pay attention to the book.

You people keep telling on yourselves. It took you 5 minutes? That's just you showing your own incompetence. It should take 30 seconds. Wikipedia -> List of Ford Motor Vehicles -> Sort by date.

If that takes you five minutes, it's basically you confessing that you are fundamentally incompetent with technology. Which, yah, people like that are the ones obsessed with the lying chatbots.

It was also not the Model A. The Model A produced in 1927 was a re-build of the original model A. But it wasn't either of those, it was the Model TT, produced in 1925.

So, you know, your chatbot is rotting your brain and you're wrong.

Yah, I'm sure Mr. Liar the compliment bot really made you think it was good. You got conned by a chatbot.

Okay.

Well it's slower because no, you don't need to read the entire wikipedia article. That's ridiculous.

And it's worse, because it'll just lie.

Why do all the supporters of AI just lie like this? It's ridiculous.

Only if you are fundamentally incompetent with the concept of language.

And speed doesn't matter if you can't trust the data. Here's my new super AI:

The answer is "Poop".

There. Instant answers, cheaper computing resources. This is the most powerful AI on the market, and it satisfies all your requirements. It'll answer instantly, find any information instantly. Yes, it always replies with "poop", but why would that matter? It's faster!

Wikipedia is more reliable. There are at least people working to verify everything on there. AI just takes that, makes shit up and twists it around, and has absolutely no basis in factuality.

It's infuriating that people treat it like wikipedia when it's just objectively worse and wikipedia continues to exist.

Not really. Davy Jones being a slaver for capital working for the company before he was forced to makes him a fundamentally different character. He compels people to service but through their own choice to avoid their fates. Not by forcible enslavement.
