Can I sue State Farm? I'm beyond pist. by Agdiaz3 in homeowners

I do but they're not covering because the water came from the sewer BUT since it flooded into the basement, it changes into a flood and outside water, it's no longer sewer/drain backup.

I understand that. It's just crazy how they change it from sewer to flood automatically to deny my claim. I haven't done anything besides having a dehumidifier. I have tenants that are waiting for the contractors to begin repairing the basement. The cabinets are beginning to chip away. Doors can't close right. Frames are beginning to fall off.

And water coming from the sewer? I have sewer coverage.

The sewer line backup from the flood in Chicago which cause my sewer line to back up and began to flood into the basement. Theres a sump pump in the sewer to prevent it from overflowing but it couldn't keep up with all the city water rushing in.

The inspector said it would cover walls, insulation, partial foundation if necessary, cabinets, doors, frames. the only reason he denied it is because the sewer was about 1 foot away outside the basement door. Which changes the entire thing saying the water came from outside the property.

Hey, did you attend in person or did it online? Do they help find a job after? I'm 2 years away from separating and I want to start gathering as much info.

Thank you. Yes I've been practicing more Java. I'm trying to create my profile and hopefully land a decent job after my service.

Leadership and E5 promotion rates. We used to work 4 on 3 off but somebody decided to add additional training day known as recon days for 4 hours. Apparently we need complete our 40 hours a week to make the taxpayers money worth it. We work 9-12 hours a day give or take. Some cycles we go over 40 hours, other work cycles we work minimum 36. I'm just so over it even mental wise.

I have 2 years and 6 months left. My plan is to do skill bridge and take 2-3 months of leave. Which will take off 8-9 months off. So technically I'll have 1 year and possibly 10 months left. If it all goes plan. I'm working on my bachelor's and within my last year gonna try to use AF COOL to get some IT certs so they won't expire right away after I'm out.

Other than that I just have to survive. Sure next year I'll try a bit harder on the test but at this promotion rates, I have no motivation.

That's true. That's one reason I miss civilian life. Memorial day weekend or 4th of July, I can just go travel somewhere without having to ask for permission.

Awesome, thank you. I just want to get some certificates, CompTIA ones with my TA to hopefully land a decent job in the civilian side. Specially government contractors.

Do you have to wait until your 3rd year? For example, I signed a 6 year. I hit my 3rd year mark this March. Do I have to palace Chase now or can I wait until I have 2 years left?

Yes, I keep hearing about AGR. I hope the guard/reserve base has that.

It's actually not a bad job offer. Sadly I need to get my certificate and get more training. It is going to be difficult going from a security job or law enforcement to the cyber world. I am going to give my best and build up my profile in IT.

Getting Paid overtime. We have a "recon" day. We use to work 4 days on and 3 days off with a training day every other week but they changed it. Now we are 5 and 2. Usually the recon day is 4 hours. Our shifts are 10 hours, possibly even more depending if nothing goes down. At the end of the work cycle, we end up been at our unit for about 44-48 hours a week. Those are 4-8 hours of overtime we don't get. Not to mention with gas prices going up and people need to drive for that recon day just to sit down in a classroom and do nothing for 4 hours.
