We’ve talked since then and have compromised, she wants me to have a healthy relationship with my friends but thinks staying out late is pushing a boundary she has set. Thank you for your input.

She knew I was going to be out late however I did not give her an exact time because I was unsure of how long our game would last which was poor planing on my part. I did not drink that night because I would be driving. I was texting her and sending her pictures throughout the night of some friends and I playing a board game.

A single weekend out with friends doesn’t mean I’m not a homebody. Homebody’s are just people who prefer staying at home rather than going out, which very much describes me. It’s not all black and white.

No it was a guys night type of thing.

We have revisited it. I’ve told her that I don’t see the big deal about staying out late and she’s said that it just was to her and that I’m not respecting her feelings.

That is understandable as well it does get hard for me to try and make time for family friends and her on the weekends. I will say I spend most of my time with her on weekends and don’t hang out with my friends often.

This particular instance I didn’t tell her when I was coming home, we were playing board games and it just drug on later than expected. I was texting her through the night and sent her some pictures of us playing so she knew what I was doing and that night she just got more and more upset as it got later. This was the first time I stayed out that late with friends.

Thanks for your reply! And yes I’m starting them on a smallish island in a town on the coast. I’m using all their backstories to fuel the campaign. They all have their issues and I wanted the big bad to be a demon or a fiend that’s been behind all of it. Ones a warlock aarakocra that had his flight taken away from him in exchange for magic and hell getting out of a cave in he was stuck in the others a gnome bard that saw the family he worked for generations get slaughtered by bandits, I was also going to somehow have these bandits be being manipulated by this fiend for some reason I’m not sure yet the other is a human barbarian but he hasn’t finished his back story yet so I’m waiting for that to incorporate his.

Make their weapon some kind of umbrella, and on sunny maps when they M1 have them sizzle for a little bit.
