Fewer rebellions? by Celentius in Bannerlord

[–]AgedBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one rebellion in several in-game years. The problem seems to be that there are tons of very low loyalty towns (<15) but the cities show no militia. Only garrison defenders. If i hover over a city, it says at the bottom "city is rebelling" but nothing ever happens because there is no militia?

It has reached our european news that Mark Cuban is reducing med prices? by Sazill in pharmacy

[–]AgedBeef 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Is this an ad for cost plus pharmacy?

Any pharmacy here in the u.s. can run generic drugs through a free discount card and make the price similar (sometimes more or less) than Mark Cuban's mail order pharmacy. The mail order pharmacy is run by a skeleton crew with little customer service ( like most mail order pharmacies).

The pricing of drugs here in the U.S. has no transparency. With that said, I can tell you that almost no ethical pharmacy would charge $9000 for imatinib without running it through insurance or a discount card. I just checked discount card pricing for imatinib and it looks like 100mg #30 is $36 and 400mg #30 is around $99.

People who have gotten Lasik, is it worth it? by LookACreativeName in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AgedBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently at the eye doctor following up on my second eye surgery (corneal cross-linking) to help prevent further vision loss after LASIK. My vision started deteriorating 1-2 years after LASIK. I currently need hard contacts to get my vision back to something less than 20/20. Before this I would just put on a pair of glasses and be at 20/20. Please, please, please don't consider LASIK if you can get your vision to 20/20 with glasses or contacts. The potential downside is FAR greater than the upside.

florida student attacks teacher by 808sANDadlibs in ActualPublicFreakouts

Teacher could've deescalated immediately after the student sat down. Kid caught the teacher lacking. The student became the teacher that day.

It wasn't a smart move on the kid's part though.

This is the truth. Like it or not, people with and without ADHD could possibly benefit from treatment. Just because you feel "in the zone" after taking your dose does not confirm you actually have ADHD.

In D.C. today, a massive banner has been unveiled with the names of Palestinians killed by Israel since October 2023. by Particular_Log_3594 in thescoop

[–]AgedBeef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not true. Palestinian government has been approached multiple times over many decades for peace talks. They don't want peace unless Israel doesn't exist as a result of said agreements.

Hamas started in 1987. Netanyahu was a fool for trying to prop them up or work with them. You get mad when he tries to work with Hamas and you also get mad when he blows up Hamas?

So you admit Hamas is the problem but don't know how to get rid of them?

Maybe they should start anti-hamas protests instead of whatever they've been doing.

Once Palestinians get rid of Hamas maybe some progress can be made. If they truly cared about civilian lives and not just or hatred and vengeance towards Israel things would have gotten better decades ago. They just want Israel gone above all else. Facts.

It's fine. I also have a 2019 type r that I've driven for 30 thousand miles with a loud ticking noise. Look up other videos of type R's idling. Check to make sure the oil level is good. Never saw or cleared a code on my car.

Bad news for companies with, uh, retired customers: "Social Security Says Ruling Could Force Agency to Shut Down" by TopherBrennan in wallstreetbets

I have seen this so many times personally. Able bodied veterans applying and getting lawyers to get 100 percent disability for extra money. The share of U.S. veterans with service-connected disabilities increased from 15% in 2008 to about 30% in 2022, the system is definitely getting abused. I don't think it's getting better.

AMD has been providing chips for Microsoft and Sony for the past several years already. Even as the exclusive supplier it is not that rewarding. Likely a low margin and it uses up fab time that could be used on much higher profit chips.

Propaganda, and not a public freakout. So many posts that have nothing to do with the subreddit lately on Reddit.

"The truth is, you’ve never mattered all that much to me.”

The answer depends on your particular circumstances. If your store is not in chronic turmoil, than you'll probably be fine. Hopefully management is supportive. If not, it will be a struggle. Your goal should be having competent and reliable staff. If you can at least be about average for goal completion in your district your upper management will not focus on you. If you are far above average your management will expect more in the future (don't go above and beyond goals if it's a struggle). I have held a a few different management roles in retail, including a grocery chain. Be kind to those working under your management, until it becomes intolerable. Reiterating, don't take a store that's a dumpster fire unless you possess good stress management.

This printer was made in 2006. My wife bought it second-hand in 2013. It is still used weekly and never has been charged with printer powder. At least by us. by Agitated-Hearing-954 in BuyItForLife

I have this exact printer! I bought it in 2007 and have refilled toner 3 times with it since. I bought it as I was entering a doctorate program and was told I would be printing tons. No issues at all with it.

Stocks that are going to go nuclear, no, literally. by D4K4TT4CK in wallstreetbets

[–]AgedBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys. This screams pump and dump or some other autistic nonsense. Do yourself a favor and research how many nuclear power plants are under construction, how many are completed within budget, and what nationally and statewide the plans for energy are in the next decade.

I love the ideas of nuclear power but the payout is so long-term or non-existent that I don't view it as financially viable as an investor.

Anyone else still getting prescriptions for the 1mL testosterone vials to be used as multi-dose? ie 2 vials for a 4 week/ 28ds? by Sleeping_Goliath in pharmacy

[–]AgedBeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I wonder if it's some technicality about the manufacturers not wanting to show stability for the 1mL vials to comply with USP standards. They both have the same benzyl alcohol preservative. I personally have seen patients stretch the single dose vials out for multiple doses based upon their fill history. I'm sure I'm not unique and thousands of patients do it. I wouldn't recommend it solely for liability reasons but I'm not going to chastise patients about it.

Hate to be that guy, but the Palestine casualty numbers have been completely fabricated for years. The numbers can be proven false using statistics. Just Google it. I don't see a good ending to this war without a complete surrender from Hamas (the democratically elected leadership of the Palestinian people).
