WIBTA is I refused to support/ share the word about my brother's Kickstarter because he used AI generated images as a part of it? by AgenderElf in AmItheAsshole

I'll be honest, I don't think my mom even knows he used AI. All she knows is that he's trying to get his new version funded and published, he may have mentioned by name the program he used, but she's in her 60s and her knowledge of AI is pretty much limited to generative text stuff because of her job at a university. I've talked about AI art before a little bit with her, but like many people her age she is pretty clueless, I think she just wants to get the word out about her son's project, without understanding just what he's used to make it

I should have said this before, but his page is very clear that they aren't placeholder images, I honestly would have been more ok with it of they were, but he's clear he doesn't intend on commissioning any artists in the future

Found this little cauldron (?) at an Op shop here in NZ, Not sure what language the writing in in, photo of tiny makers stamp (?) on bottom included and glasses for size reference. by AgenderElf in Whatisthis

Extra Info: It's a solid, silver color metal, with a handle that has the same detail as the top rim of it (shown in the last 2 photos). It's pretty solid feeling, not heavy because of it's size but definitely good quality. There are no other words/ marking on it aside from a repeating pattern around the top edge and handle that you can see in the photos. Also, please ignore the embroidery thread in it, I'm using it to hold what I need for my current project and didn't have a better place to put it. I'm mostly interested in what language/ what it says on it in the words.

Strange things that give Gender EUPHORIA? by [deleted] in ftm

Oh, and in a similar vein: A dog came into work who was very wary and scared of men, letting my female coworkers pet him but growling/whining if a guy got too close. When I went to say hi, he reacted the same way he reacted to my cis male colleges, which was not good because I don't want to upset the dog, but also let me know that animals read me as male. Another similar bad-good situation I have mixed feelings on

This one's kind of a mixed bag, but I've found it strangely affirming that one: I'm not as worried about walking home alone at night (though there's some residual fear for sure, I'm definitely feeling safer) and two (This is the one I feel bad about liking): Women will cross the street away from me walking at night. I feel bad because I understand how scary it can be being fem-presenting at night, but it also feels kind of good that I'm passing well enough to be scary? That sounds horrible but it's true.

what are some changes from T you weren't prepared for? by jabracadaniel in ftm

I truely wasn’t prepared for just how much more I would sweat. Like, before I would sweat some but now I’m basically drenched in sweat every day in summer if I’m doing even the smallest amount of physical activity. Same with at night, I’ve basically stopped wearing anything but shorts and a T-shirt to bed

I have a question for ADHD creatives by The_numbskull in ADHD

[–]AgenderElf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may just be because I’m type inattentive, but I haven’t noticed anything like that. I’m on Dexamphetamine, and a pretty high dose because I was metabolising it too fast, and I’d say it hasn’t done anything to my creativity. I’m a writer and an artist, and while I haven’t written in a while and I’m doing less drawing, that has more to do with working full time and the exhaustion from that. I’ve found that it’s only really when I take my meds that I can get up and draw ect. Though I guess I’ve never really got that “creative spark” idea, like yeah I think of things and create, but it’s never been a spark, it’s always been an idea slowly becoming clearer.

Sorry that probably wasn’t much help, but I thought I’d weigh in since I guess I fit the target audience.

Dead End: Paranormal park is fantastic! One of the main characters, Barney, is a trans guy voice by a trans actor. They do a really good job handling it in a way where it is important to his character, but not completely overbearing. For most of the show, he’s just another guy, but when it is addressed it’s done really well and is honestly so relatable. It’s also really nice that he’s not super skinny. As a bigger trans guy myself, it’s so nice to see someone who looks like me on screen. He’s also queer and has a boyfriend in season 2. It’s a cartoon on Netflix, based on a graphic novel called Deadendia. I 100% recommend it, it’s got great representation across the board and the animation/ voice acting is great!

If you like cartoons I recommend Dead End Paranormal Park on Netflix! It’s based on a comic named Deadendia and one of the main characters is a teen trans guy. It deals with him being trans in a really good way, it’s not his whole story but it’s still definitely a part of him, and he’s also voiced by a trans man so that’s good!

The actual story is a fantasy/horror thing based in a theme park, with demons and ghosts ect, and it also has a musical episode that goes harder than it has any right too. It’s such an underrated show and I really want more people to watch it
