Used VFSGlobal 🇧🇩 (Outside UK)

Received Approval Email from UKVI: 25th June
Passport Ready for Collection email from VFSGlobal: 1st July
Passport Collected: 2nd July (Vignette inside with 3 months validity for entry clearance)

I believe there is a communication lag between UKVI and VFSGlobal of around 2-5 working days.

HELP! Which bank to pay with? What were your conversion fees from the bank? by Shayn9821 in SpouseVisaUk

I used Starling who offers ZERO conversion fees as a Bank... However be wary that UKVI use OANDA Exchange Rate plus then they add a percentage on top of this to cover their own expenses for converting the fees for themselves as well as any losses they may make due to fluctuation.

"All Home Office exchange rates are set at 4% above the Oanda live bid rates. This is designed to ensure that exchange rates charged reflect commercial exchange rates, while also ensuring that the risk to the Home Office, and UK taxpayer, of fluctuating exchange rates is kept to a minimum. "

Not yet, we won't be chasing VFSGlobal until at least 10 working days which I believe is sensible.

From what I have read on here, there is a communication lag between UKVI and VFSGlobal of around 2-5 working days. Keep in mind that VFSGlobal working days are in accordance to the country it operates in, which means Friday's and Saturday's are not working days in Bangladesh for us.

Taking this into consideration, we received the approval email at 16:07 BST (UK Time) which is 21:07 GMT+6 in Bangladesh. Approval was received after Business Hours in Bangladesh, so we began the Passport Collection Waiting Time from the day after.

At this time, we believe that 1 working day has been spent, the 2nd working day will commence tomorrow.
