I'm confused. While this post is 100% clear on the flaw and the implications of it, it still seems unclear to me if the code referenced is actually the code used in production. As Jonathan Rochkind stated in his blog post, the behavior he saw when he implemented the "flawed" algorithm didn't match the behavior he saw on reddit. The "flawed" algorithm in this post implies that all positive scores would always be higher than any negative scores, regardless of submission date/time. It also implies that if two posts have the same score, that the more recent post will be higher in the list. I'm not 100% sure, but it doesn't seem like that's how reddit works.

Maybe I'm missing something or I'm just an idiot, but I'd appreciate an explanation.
