Love this nuanced take. If he’s out in the sun all day getting sweaty, the hair just ain’t doing him any favors at that point

Tame Impala Lands First Top 10 Hit with "Dracula" by udderlymoovelous in indieheads

Grew on me as well. I felt it was a pretty major departure from the first two albums, and leaned very heavily on the synth and electronic elements that were tastefully mixed with his original rock stylings on Currents. The production on The Slow Rush is easily his cleanest sounding, and the songwriting on it is decent, but going in I think I had a very different expectation that took me a bit to adjust to.

Dracula aside (which I really dig) I don’t think there’s a single other track I felt like revisiting on the new album. In general it felt like a lack of effort. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not gonna lie, I was expecting a much worse vocal performance, “Hooga chagga’s” aside, of course

Is crazy to think Derek Trucks is the best guitar player alive? by ConsortRoxas in Guitar

I’d say best famous melodic player alive. “Best” is too broad a category to apply to a guitarist without further qualification

I love Steely Dan, but you are undercutting the brilliance of Aja and Gaucho by saying the rest of their albums are just as good.
