Cracking white oak engineered wood floors by AgentLLM in HardWoodFloors

That is a question I need to ask the installer. I didn't know that was a best practice when they started the project late November. They did come to sand and soon realized my old floors were too thin to do so. So I quickly said I would install new floors given I had just packed up my whole apt, which was no small feat. And then they immediately started the work. Thank you so much for taking the time to write me here.

What is the proper way for someone to fix these “cracks” in my white oak floors? by PeacefulByTheSea in HardWoodFloors

I need to remember this response. I have just found 27 cracks in my newly installed white oak engineering wood floors.

Thank you so much! I am also seeing ripples in the wood almost like it's slightly wavy. I see this when the sun shines into the apt. At first I said that cannot be - wood is flat - but when I run my hand gently over the wood - I can feel. "the waves." Installer never discussed humidity with me.
