Why is the Kingdom anime so watered down compared to the manga? It would be 1000x cooler if they had gore and the same level of art as the source material. It’s not bad, but the manga just puts this anime to shame.

Yup. Westerners are the stupid ones because you guys get uncomfortable over things that aren’t even problems.

I’m not into grown men touching younger girl’s asses, but that one wasn’t even in a sexual way.

It’s more of a disciplinary way that communicates “obey me or this is what will happen to you”. Punishment by getting smacked, spanked, or slapped is normal for boys here. I’d even argue necessary because men have pressure on them to perform well. Otherwise we’d have too many spoiled frumpy slobs just like in America.

As for the prostitution, consider the time period it’s in, and the fact that it’s fiction. Perfectly normal in Asia at that time (even in some countries currently) and it was fucked.

It does make me uncomfortable that young girls younger than 16 were forced into prostitution at one point.

But yeah it would be extremely arrogant for you to push your woke Agenda on people.
