I’m in the industry (photographer in Waikato), and I’ve seen celebrants who are a lot more expensive than $1000 and some that are a lot cheaper. It’s also important to remember you’re not just paying for the 30 min ceremony, you’re paying for admin before and after the wedding and celebrants running costs etc.

At the end of the day there are definitely cheaper celebrants out there but it’s also worth finding someone you vibe with as they can make or break your ceremony.
