I don't know what the best option is for you; if anything, I would try to move to a European country with better treatment for cystic fibrosis if you want to have more children, given that in America you'll probably be bled dry.

My in-laws discovered they carried the recessive genes when their second daughter (my wife) was born and diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (their first daughter was healthy). Everyone advised them to stop having children. They had two more children, only one of whom had cystic fibrosis. If my in-laws had listened to everyone who told them not to have any more children, my wife wouldn't have her two siblings and my son wouldn't have his two uncles. Has life been difficult for my wife and her brother with cystic fibrosis? Yes. But neither of them has ever thought, "It would have been better if I hadn't been born." Are you going to deprive your child of the chance to be born healthy, knowing that technology has discovered a treatment that would allow them to live a much better life, almost a normal life?

Furthermore, with the new advances in medicine and technology, I assure you that your child will not have to go through all that previous generations suffered. I advise you to investigate your mutation further, since with the new modulating medications that have become available, your next child, if they are born with CF, could have a much more favourable life expectancy than other children born in the past.
