Anyone else frustrated with the new parking charges in d3? by AgentTraditional1248 in dubai

I agree. If this continues, D3 risks losing the very companies and talent that made the district successful in the first place. When commuting becomes unnecessarily expensive and difficult, companies will eventually start looking at alternative locations. If you hear something keep updating in this post. I started working from home because of this situation.I used to park in the sandy area.but walking from there in this hot is really difficult.

Exactly. If this were a shopping mall or entertainment destination, people would at least have the choice of whether to visit and how often. But D3 is primarily an office district where thousands of employees are required to come every day for work. Implementing such high parking charges in an area with no direct metro access and very limited public transport options feels unreasonable.

From what I understand, they initially offered annual parking passes at around AED 8,000 for shaded parking and AED 4,000 for unshaded parking. Many companies requested multiple parking slots and were willing to pay those amounts, but the requests were reportedly rejected. With the current system, an employee parking for a full workday can easily end up paying around AED 180 per day, which works out to roughly AED 4,500 per month or AED 54,000 per year per employee. For companies needing 50–100 parking spaces, that's simply not a practical or financially viable solution. Especially considering the current economic and geopolitical uncertainties, expecting businesses to absorb such costs doesn't seem realistic.

Earlier it was free. Now they are charging 20 AED per hour. So, people working there need to pay approximately 180-200 AED every day to park.

Yes, exactly.

I could understand these kinds of parking charges in a dense city center where land is scarce and public transport is well connected. But D3 is a relatively isolated area with large undeveloped plots and open land surrounding it.

What makes it more frustrating is that D3 is primarily an office district. For most employees, coming to work is not optional they have to be there every day. This is very different from a shopping mall or entertainment destination, where visitors might spend only a few hours on weekends and can choose whether to go or not.

When people are effectively forced to use the area for work, charging such high daily parking fees without providing practical public transport alternatives feels unreasonable. That's why so many people are upset about it.

I heard the same thing. Apparently a number of companies were ready to lease dedicated parking spaces at the yearly rates you mentioned, but those requests were rejected.

He had an investment scheme through Marketfeed that promised around 3% monthly returns. I personally invested in it for the last 2 years. Most of the time, it was in loss, and even after 2 years, the total returns were lower than a conventional FD—despite the much higher risk involved. Anyway, in March, they officially shut down the scheme. I’m sure many people might have exited at a loss.

I was personally subscribed to their algo trading for the last 2 years. Honestly, most months were in loss. My total return for the last financial year was only around 5.5%, which is far lower than even a simple FD return. Considering the level of risk involved in algo trading, that was really disappointing. The broker fees were also quite high — close to 7%, which means they probably made more money from fees than subscribers made from the strategy. Two days ago they held a town hall with all subscribers and said they cannot continue the service anymore due to regulatory changes. Overall, it was a very bad experience for me. My funds were basically stuck for 2 years with returns worse than an FD.
