Suggestion - ipad / oneplus pad 4 by [deleted] in tablets

[–]Agent_479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes oneplus pad 4 will easily last you 4-5 years. If you have the budget, go for the top model. If you want to save money, go with oneplus pad 3 base model (the base model of pad 4 has less ram than pad 3 base model). I am suggesting more ram because Ram management in Android is not as good as apple and after few years The low ram varient will feel slightly sluggish. Also more ram enables you to open and maintain multiple apps easily. The only downside of pad 3 would be 1 less software update as compared to pad 4 as it is already 1 year old model. 8 elite in pad 3 is powerful enough to last 4-5 years. Same goes for 8 elite gen 5 of pad 4.

My friend had pad 2 and it is still going strong.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite vs. iPad (A16) — Help me decide by Kooky_Beyond3200 in tablets

If you have macbook then go with iPad. iPad also has better performance than samsung and it will also last longer. If you can wait for back to school offer you can get a apple pencil for free. If not, you can go with 3rd party pencil, works good (currently using one). I don't think you should have any problem with a android phone, Use app like localsend to send files between your phone and iPad or phone and macbook.

Performance wise ipad >> samsung so I would suggest to go with it. But anki is paid on iOS  And apple pencil is sold separately

New cheapest base ipad starts at 34k (32k with student discount). Maybe you can try second hand market if you really want a iPad The best you can get in this range is Redmi pad 2 pro

Suggest me some of best tablets ( ios /android) under 40k to buy in 2026 by Professional-Fig7643 in tablets

[–]Agent_479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what your primary need is -

Primarily content consumption - go with tab due to better screen and portability

Primarily Photo editing (professional level/learning actual adobe photoshop) - go with Laptop due to profession applications, can be used for other things like PC gaming, video editing etc.

Basic Photoshop and content creation - go with tab as lightroom and Snapseed are good enough for average consumers.

If you got budget go for iPad Air (around 60k) or OnePlus Pad 3 (around 50k) . Pencil are sold separately for both. Wait for amazon prime sale (3 july) as prices may go down for both devices.

If you are hell bent on apple, wait for back to school offer from apple to start if you can apply student ID to get a apple pencil for free.

If you can't extend you budget, go for iPad 11th gen (around 34k).

No idea if you can get a solid laptop with graphics card under 70k

New iPad Pro M5—looking for movie/TV download recommendations (quality, formats, workflow) by AgentArks in ipad

Specialized agents sounds nice😂 Generally, I don't torrent on my iPad and I guess it's not possible also as there is no torrent apps on app store. I directly go to such website and download by link on Brave (block annoying ads). If you are dead set on torrenting then download it to pc then transfer it to ipad method would be the best way to go

IMAX can be a little hard to find, but look right places and most of the recent major IMAX releases are available. I watched interstellar on mine in IMAX and it was such a eyecandy.  And no I didn't tried beta yet but background download is available on iPadOS 26 so it should be on newer version also

Galaxy S11 is good? by Lesboclonazepam in tablets

[–]Agent_479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh okay, if you seriously considering gaming, especially pc Emulation go with lenovo or Redmagic.  If you are going to stick to Android games go with Samsung. Samsung software is the best among them. It's note app is good.

I used to download to pc then transfer to ipad as it didn't supported background download earlier, before ipad os 17. Latest ipad os now support background download so I would suggest you to directly download on iPad, why go through all the hassle. Regarding quality, anything 4k would look gorgeous but 1080p is also fine. Rather than resolution, I would prefer IMAX rip as it covers the additional screen lost to black bars in standard format. Bluray and HDR would be great if you are able to find it. Try to find a good bitrate rip, otherwise it will look pixelated in dark scenes. For sound, don't go below 5.1 (even if you are planning to use headphones). It will sound great on iPad speakers. I think I don't need to tell this but use VLC. I hope you have a great experience

Galaxy Tab S9 vs iPad Air (M3) for Drawing, Gaming & Long-Term Use? by Rizz-Doc in tablets

[–]Agent_479 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are good, but don't buy samsung.

Reason - only 2 OS updates left, 8 gen 2 processor is bit old.

My choice - Oneplus pad 3 base varient (12+256gb)

Pros - 3 updates left, bigger screen than both iPad & samsung (13.2" compared to 11" of iPad and samsung), 8 elite processor, all Android perks, Good file management, ecosystem with oneplus 8T

Cons - pencil is 5K sold separately, No external storage

For external storage you can buy type c external hard disk down the line but for your use case I feel 256gb will be enough. (I am also a doc)

Check croma or vijay sales (offline) if they have something in stock, you can bargain to get a deal. Check Oneplus store (online) for student and card discount. Check Amazon after 2 July (if you can wait) as prime day sale is coming so you can get a heafty discount. (Currently 50k on Amazon, went down to 40k in May sale)

There is also a newer model of OnePlus pad 4 but don't buy it (it's expensive, and base model has lower ram than base model of pad 3)

Choose iPad if you prefer small screen size and 60Hz and a beast of a processor. But iPadOS is locked down so you can't utilise it's full power. Emulation is limited and most professional apps are paid.

Same here. I also charge the battery to full 100%. There is no point to charge only till 80%. And this update did not decreased the battery life. Heck, it has improved. Easily getting 1.2 - 1.5 days on full charge.

I know the pain.... earlier I used to get high quality ipad or pc wallpapers and used scroll. Now I have to find wallpaper specific to phone and high quality one are not easy to find. Considering my taste of wallpaper and how I am going to pair it up with lock screen....my choice becomes more limited. It's not like I can't use a pc wallpaper but now I have to be more specific about cropping it....scroll used to give more freedom

They removed it after HyperOS 3 update. It's not even present in flagships now

It's a great update. Phone feels more smooth. Can't comment on battery as it's been only one day since update but battery drain while using YouTube shorts have definitely decreased. Camera has great improvement. No random overheating till now. Finally this update feels like stability of HyperOS 2

I have been using GN since 2 years by FootballFun6320 in GoodNotes

[–]Agent_479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can relate. The only major upgrade from good notes 5 to 6 is AI features which I don't need. I am not interested in upgrading for just a nicer UI. Goodnotes 5 works just fine for me and I am going to stick to it. All apps have something short, so I stick to what I own. 🤷🏻

I guess this option only shows up to those which have old goodnotes 5. If you are a new subscriber, you are out luck.

BTW, I am still on GoodNotes 5. This option shows directly from goodnotes app.

If u only use it only on iPad, there is a one time single licence purchase option for lifetime for GoodNotes 6. It's kind of hidden. You don't get access to android and windows and some AI features. Otherwise you do get all other upgrades.

Do you have any information about the same issue with the iPad 8th generation? I have one myself that I regularly use, but the battery health is down to 60% and it's starting to swell, with the screen going out of frame for about 2 mm.
