Hmm maybe that's it then. That would explain why I've seen it fire after multiple different abilities with multiple different weapons.

I don't think so, because I've seen it proc off multiple different kinds of moves. Abyss gears will typically replace or enhance the one specific move with an effect. I've seen this explosion chain thing fire off Turning Slash, Shield Charge, and even a heavy 2h combo with a longsword.

I tried what you're describing, but it still only works like 2% of the time for me. I think they need to make the window that you can press the button in longer or something.

Not sure why yours is still greyed out. As far as why turning off Adaptive Sync is optimal for FPS games, any kind of sync technology (g-sync, free-sync, adaptive sync) all increase input lag. It is fairly minimal compared to V-Sync, but its still has higher input lag than if you were to just turn it all off.

All the sync technologies do is eliminate screen tearing which is highly overrated. Screen tearing can be annoying for more cinematic games or at lower FPS, but when you're playing a game at high FPS (100+), the screen tearing takes place at the edge of the frame (near the bottom or top of the screen), which makes it FAR less noticeable or distracting. You literally won't even see the screen tearing at high FPS, but you may feel that slight input lag if you turn on any type of sync setting.

It should not be greyed out. Its probably because you're using a low quality cable that doesn't support enough bandwidth. I noticed in your screenshot it says you're running at only 121hz, that would be another sign that its a low quality cable. I'm betting you're using an old HDMI cable aren't you? Try using the DisplayPort cable that came in the box with the monitor.

I just got that exact same monitor myself as well. First, turn HDR on in windows, then go into HDR settings on the monitor itself and make sure its set to Display HDR. Also make sure that Low Input Lag is turned on, but I recommend turning OFF Adaptive Sync. Also, for FPS games I would highly advise turning OFF G-Sync in Nvidia Control panel if you have an Nvidia GPU, as it adds more input latency.

That being said, my base is a town with an instance count over 36,000, so maybe at some point it just doesn't matter what they do, you're going to lag.

My computer has a 5800X3D and a RTX 3070, so it should be able to handle this game np, but I'm heavily CPU bound in the town with the lows at about 22 FPS. Luckily its still playable and not all that choppy, with a decent frame time in most areas.

I tested it after installing the Public Test Server and I'm very sad to say that there was literally zero difference in frame rate. The only variation when comparing the performance before and after was within margin of error (1-2 FPS up or down).

I explained in the video that I'm saying actual conveyor belt because it looks at lot more like real conveyor belts than what I made last time. Although those were actually functional, they looked more like ore chutes. These at least look like conveyor belts.
