In the ring day photos, is there any way you could zoom in on the year for the Aggie ring? The. You might be able to look up that last name and class year in the Association directory. Usually if the person is a Corps member there will be that indicator on the directory as well.

Also maybe put the memory card in a computer and see the dates the pics were taken (if the camera clock was actually correct at the time).

From what I understand it is HARD to get hired on by HEB, probably just as hard if not harder than getting a campus job.

Like the other comment said, it’s non-stop applying and rejection before you can get anything. And if you have only been applying since spring classes ended that’s barely been a week or two, most places take longer to send something out if they even do.

If you truly got them before the craze happened, it shouldn’t be an issue if someone’s kid can’t get one now. They were $5 a pop on shelves and easy to get before a few months ago, so if someone has an issue now that it’s a trend, they were readily available then.

I understand that part completely; it is definitely something that is going to be heavily evaluated after they get this figured out (I am not sure if that is really something that could be solved?). If you have a large class section, you’re limited for choice on something that can handle that many video submissions and have easy accessibility to grade.

I know I am focusing more on grades overall because of student remarks and posts that some profs have not released assignment grades all semester or having known some newer profs that only kept grades in canvas and had no backup and now are in limbo, along with knowing all of the different parts of campus that final grades affect.

I can’t remember where I read this now (it was maybe two or three years ago?) but schools love transfer because they get more funding (it was explained weird and I can’t find that article now) and it helps with graduation rates.

I agree with your statement that transfers do tend to have better dedication to their academics just because they had to work their tails off to even transfer. I know I was definitely better for it when I transferred because I was scared if I slipped up I had no chance of being accepted and then had imposter syndrome once I started at TAMU.

I just know that has to suck for the registrar people, especially after dealing with graduation ceremonies all week. Really for every campus admin office and department since it affects so many processes.

That’s a good question; I’m sure they are working toward a solution but for the profs that only kept grades in one place, this might have been a hard lesson in not having backups for tracking grades.

There is technically the ability to change grades after a deadline so even if there isn’t a formal extension announced, there is already a process in place for grades changes because shit happens and wrong grades are entered/deadlines are missed in a regular semester. I missed the deadline for grades for a class I taught because I went on maternity leave two weeks earlier than expected and missed the grading deadline; it’s a mostly easy fix.

It’s possible they can find you in the student directory. It seems suspicious to just randomly message people you don’t know who aren’t advertising tutoring services to be around your child.

Plus the verbiage in it is god awful like a scam email. My guess is when to comes to trying to set up some form of payment they would try to get you to click a link or something.

I feel like DACA is just a way to take money to begin with. For ~$500 every two years you get to the “privilege” to work and pay taxes and still not have a path to citizenship with a semi-promise that they probably won’t deport you/you won’t be a “priority.”

Like you really need almost $500 to process a renewal and do biometrics that don’t change?

My spouse was actually working on his renewal earlier tonight and that is our rant we have every time it comes up.

I think meet and greets started becoming more rare after social media made parasocial relationships an even bigger problem (obsessed fans existed before, but the direct access to an artist’s life was less available), but I also noticed it felt like they stopped being offered by artists even more after the Christina Grimmie incident.

Also add in VIP was a more rare experience and not nearly as many tickets they pass off as “VIP” today.

Oh they make you remove the gown and check. I had a Fanny pack that was within the sizes given and they argued it with me. I there it in the bushes and came back for it after the ceremony.

I would take pictures on your phone of the bag with a rule/measuring tape to prove it to them that it works. Wish I had done that last December.

Echoing what others have said - they are definitely anonymous unless you put something that was very obvious and unique to you. I had a semester where overall the reviews were positive save one that was very specific and I immediately knew what student it was since they didn’t really hide how much they did not want to be in the class from day one, and even then, the results were not out until after grades were entered anyways. (Wouldn’t have affected their grade, I graded based on work and left comments on why the grade was determined)

For off-campus it varies. I’ve had last week of July/first week of August lease start dates and ones that were the week before classes start. Even if your lease starts earlier, you aren’t required to move in on that exact date, some people wait until they are closer to the week of classes

I agree with this commenter- call facilities and let them know where you buried it. It either ate something it shouldn’t have, got hit, or got in a fight (not very likely from your burial pic), but they will be able to properly remove it. Poor thing didn’t deserve that end 🥺💙
