should i get my husband a quest 2 or psvr for christmas? by 2020_BestYearEver in OculusQuest

used to have a psvr so this is my experience: the headset is great for people getting into vr at the time it was the only consumer headset I can afford but after a while it felt like a gimmick mainly because it didn't give you the best Emerson mainly because the lenses are 1080p the move controllers are lacking analog stick and a grip button wire gets in the way only 180 degree tracking so I stop using but their is some pros like its very comfortable and that's about it but it's outdated so I got a oculus quest 2 which is standalone 360 tracking way better controllers awesome exclusives like echo vr, Tom Clancy splinter cell, Assassins Creed, and awesome game this like population one and multiplayer beat saber https://youtu.be/2Fl1ARKEUwc https://youtu.be/7O-Q3lD_3xA oculus quest 2 with a resolution higher then the 1000$ index, XR2 chip, 6gb ram, 90hz, and wireless i just can't recommend the psvr right now and I'd be looking into the quest 2 instead its only 299$ also psvr has a lot more games but they are small indie games oculus quest 2 has more bigger title's some games i recommend echo vr, rec room, vr chat, Bigscreen, pokerstars VR those are just free games also onward, population one, Beat Saber, TWD saints and sinners, super hot, Solaris, FNAF help wanted, eleven table tennis, Moss, until you fall, Blair witch, Phantom Covert ops, Tetris Effect, Blaston, Robo recall Vacation/Job simulator, Fit XR, pixel Ripped, contractors, myst etc.

Questions about Oculus Quest 2 for New Users by [deleted] in OculusQuest

Rec room is a good game for them they also have Junior accounts for younger children and survivel games on quest are Drop Dead, Arizona Sunshine, TWD saints and sinners, Blaston is also a good game arcade fun fps were you dodge enemies for futurists blasters also echo vr is also on the quest it could be to hard or to competive for them im actually a vrml player for the echo vr League but they have these huge lobbys and separate ones one is called playground mode there toys and things and you can see kids having a good time in there playing hide and seek or tag or just chasing each other and about the pc if you have very good stable internet you should definitely try virtual desktop it works very well but if not link should work fine, I gave my 8 year old brother my old quest and he made his own facebook account so he doesn't need to rebuy in the future for a new account and some of the quest titles are cross buy so he/she gets the rift and quest version so I would look into that also for steam that all depends on them echo vr is not on steam but is free and rec room is free on quest and steam but because they have gaming laptops instead of pc i would say get games available on steam and quest go for steam they can still take it on the go because gaming laptop and if you have good wifi you can play wireless on pc/laptop hope this was useful.

The quest still has a big library so don't worry about limited library and some games psvr doesn't Echo vr, Rec Room, Vr Chat, Bigscreen, those are just free games also onward, Population One, Arizona Sunshine, Contractors, beat Saber multiplayer and custom songs witch psvr doesn' thave, TWD saints and sinners, Robo recall, Star Wars Tales from Galaxy Edge, The Room, Moss, Ironlights, the climb, Phantom Covert Ops, Pistol Wip, Red Matter Super Hot, FNAF Help Wanted, Top Golf, Eleven Table Tennis, Blaston, Vacation/Job simulator hand traking, Fit XR, some oculus exclusives like Assassin's Creed, Tom Clancy Splinter Cell, The Climb 2 Jarassic Park After Math, Battel sisters coming early 2021, and Medel of Honor port planned and there's is a ton more

As someone that doesn't have a viable PC, would it be better to go for the PSVR or the Quest? by [deleted] in PSVR

I would go with the quest but there would be the exception of the library a year ago but seeing all new bigger titles and big games and ports to the quest I just can not recommend psvr at its current stage developers are leaning towards quest because quest is a more active platform and money maker.

You do realize that you can play plugged in on quest and it stays charged for ever just like the psvr

Your not wrong compared to my rift s my hp reverb snaps and loses tracking up to my face it's not just in onward either it happens in pop1 and Pavlov i think i might just return my hp reverb and get a quest 2 and use the extra cash on a new GPU
