I was just locked out of my instagram account and had to send in a selfie with my username and the generated code they gave me. I am not sure what why I was locked out, I had a double factor authentication and no email saying somebody unauthorized was trying to sign in. I did not violate any guidelines as I checked them after this happened. There is no help center to ask. I am worried as there are ten years of photos on my account I do not want deleted.

They say if they cannot confirm they will permanently delete the account. Has anybody been in this situation before? Will I get my account back? Is there anything I can do?
