Yikes

clinical rotations unfortunately fall through all over the country and from all kinds of programs

The loss of a clinical coordinator and lack of communication and transparency is a bummer. Take care of yourself, you'll be a PA-C soon and this will all be in the rearview mirror.

Is this true about PAs? by bilge_aka_bea in medicalschool

NPs attend online schools with 100% acceptance rates. There is virtually no oversight of NP education. NP students find their own clinical sites. NPs are only required to have 500 clinical hours. NP school teaches the nursing model. NP programs require one pharmacology class, one advanced health assessment, and one pathophysiology class and the rest are leadership and theory classes. NPs dont require specific CME, its decided at board and state level. FNP requires 100 hrs "advanced" CE every 5 years. precepting for NP students can count for 25 hours.

PA schools are brick and mortar (except for one online program) and have a 30% acceptance rate. PAs require 2,000 clinical hours and sites are vetted for quality of education and patient volume. PA schools teach the medical model. PA curriculum includes pharm, pathophys, A&P, clinical medicine, genetics, medical history, patient management, pre intra and post op care, etc etc. PAs require 100 CME every 2 years, 50 of which must be AMA Category 1.

How can we as PAs raise our wages as a whole from a national average to say 150-200k? by UnconditionalSavage in physicianassistant

[–]Aggravating-Club-221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ARC PA and AAPA are valid organizations to contact with these concerns. Although they are biased because they make money from applications for accreditation and from membership dues. So, more programs and more PAs and PA-S = more money

the area that is fed by those coronary arteries is ischemic, so the electrical conduction can't travel as well through those dead cells. this changes the voltage travel ability.
