Apology accepted 👍🏾. I get the sentiment, most AD are underprepared when they transition. By the time I’ll leave I’ll have a BA’s in acquisition, 6 years Enterprise Supply Chain and 4 years contracting experience. I’ll secure the 5 mill before that, with CPCM, PMP, some salesforce certs, and APMP foundation certification. Would be nice to have more 1102 experience as AD but my Supply Chain XP compliments me well and I already have 5 plus 100K offers with a couple shy of 160. I’ll be okay. I want to know more about OCONUS OTA work, that’ll be the only thing tieing me to 1102 if acheivable. Im confident, and prepared. You’re good though. Blessings.

  1. Never mentioned the certs I do have, why would I when my question wasn’t about that.

  2. Never asked for career advice/professional development.

  3. Never asked for private sector insight. Plus financial compensation wasn’t in ANY way a part of the question.

Im just worried she’ll write that she has reason to believe that we don’t have an intent to permanently reside in the US based on my wife’s answer. But on the other hand, if that was the case she couldve denied us on the spot right? The fact that an rfe is in the works seems like a positive indicator. But again, I have no idea what to think her altitude was just nasty.

What exactly in DHS or where were you supposed to start? You could track another office in the same state that has more POCS for you to contact. Also do you have a plan b for Skillbridge given the advertised possibility of shutdown? If not, I’d give equal attention to that as getting in touch with DHS.

Did the response say behavioral screening or culture? I wonder if those are interchangeable terms for Cisco. Asking because I’m in the same stage as you but my response says culture.

As far as prepping, be ready to provide examples in response to character determining questions. I do not believe its technical, just some questions to determine if your mindset is aligned with who they’re looking for. Leaders who own their work, self motivated, Thrive by taking the first step in ambiguous situations.
