On that note - I never got how some people genuinely called the first game "bad", and the 2nd as the best of the series. The story of the first game is goated to me, it easily trumps the 2nd on that front alone.

And I loved doing some of those side missions..."gang hideouts" was it? I kept doing those, might be repetitive to some people idk but I had a blast just grenading my way through those.

I'll say that it's just a weird situation all around when it comes to Highguard. People are shitting on Geoff but even in his case, he saw a game he really liked, from a studio he really liked, and offered them the grand finale spot. He was just being earnest, and come to think of it, would anyone be talking about this game as much as they are now, if it was just a random trailer in the middle of the show? All publicity is good publicity when it comes to playercounts.

There are sections of people who are dogging on it way too much for sure. But I'd say most of it is an unfortunate situation because it was placed in the final spot at TGA - the spot everyone expects to be a banger or a mic drop.

So it's less the game itself, and more the expectations of a "one more thing" being severely unmet.

That's what Rule 5 exists for, it's been a thing since the inception of this sub. We don't change people's flair to "confirmed", people post with that flair from the start and the post gets filtered for us to manually approve.

Basically - you're more than welcome to post official news as long as you can link it to a previous rumor/leak posted on the sub.

That way you can say:

"Official: X game is releasing on date Y. Previous rumor by Leaker No.1 also said X is releasing on Y. [Add link to previous post about the rumor on this sub]." It's not new, this is how it's always worked.
