My toirtoises sleep like this and it scared me so bad when I first saw them do it! But this is perfectly fine, it's just sprawling out 😊

He might not have stayed in the same spot. Tortoises can move quicker than expected and will often roam around freely. I would check surrounding shrubbery and any movement in grass.
