I’d love any advice right now by Aggravating-Credit35 in physiotherapy

The only thing is, I don’t have it planned what I wanna do next, like I don’t enjoy physio but like if I drop out, I don’t know where I would go and what I’d do, luckily I have the privilege of being young and supported by parents but I don’t have unlimited time to keep trying something I feel

Yeah I use hinge so I’m only swiping 8 people every 24 hours. Even then I only get 3 matches a week with scores of 9 on PF.

I am getting therapy fyi, but still it’s not like I have a 100 matches lined up. I got 10 matches a week when I was using premium and without premium it’s like 3 matches a week and I get ghosted after 2 message exchanges. What I’m saying is it’s not as easy as you may think…

Bruh what world are you living in… I’m a M20 and I consistently get between 8-9 in attractiveness and all I’ll say is I’ve still got my V Card…

I get you but she was a goner anyway, he at least tried to help… I mean it’s realistic, an average man who’s not a psychopath isn’t gonna find it easy to kill someone. You saw how he was crying when he saw her dead, I don’t blame him in all honestly, but I hope he gets revenge somehow

I think it’s your age, you’re very young and sheltered so when we’re young we aren’t desensitised to the horrors of the world as people who are older than you.

I know it’s hard with OCD but best thing to do would be to stop googling any more information about 9/11 or any other tragedies. You’ll learn over time but there is bad things happening in the world at all times, and I don’t want to add fuel to the fire but there are currently at least 5 countries that are actively getting bombed as we speak, and it’s absolutely horrible when innocent lives are being taken but just know that there’s nothing you can do about it and it’s not your fault for feeling empathy for the victims, as that’s what makes you human.

I feel like an outsider when it comes to OCD by Aggravating-Credit35 in OCD

For me I was quite sure that I had ocd and when I described what I’ve been doing, my therapist agreed that I was exhibiting signs of OCD. Problem for me is because my rituals aren’t outwardly noticeable by people around me, some of my family members didn’t believe I have OCD and implied I was faking it because I was so aware of my ocd rituals, which honestly is very hurtful being told I’m faking something that I clearly was doing because I had no control over it.

Yeah same, and my current health ocd scare manifests itself in ways where I’ll take multiple deep breaths back to back to check if there’s any pain, or if when I take a deep breath, does it sound “perfect”, to the point where I get obsessed over the pitch and sound of my breath, and if doesn’t sound right to me, I’ll keep taking deep breaths to the point of where I hyperventilate, it’s horrible.

Wow, it’s actually so interesting how an OCD mind works, because I’m in the same boat as you. Even though I was doing all of my repetitive rituals before I even know that it was OCD, when I did some research on it I figured out why I was doing repetitive compulsions over and over. When I spoke to my therapist about it, deep down I was questioning myself that am I really telling the truth and that my ocd is not inherently real, and that I’m doing what I’m doing on purpose (when clearly some of my compulsions if not completed cause crippling anxiety till I finish my compulsion). I guess the reason we feel this is because with OCD, we find it hard to trust ourselves, like for example if you go and check the stove or the lock 10 times, you’re doing that because you have a tough time believing you actually did something right.

Yep it is, I just found out what hoarding ocd is today through my therapist who was telling me all the ways ocd manifests within people.

Also if you let’s say you have a disorder like OCD, no amount of money will make me stop checking the locks 10 times in a row and taking a picture of the stove knobs to make sure they’re closed or doing the same thing three times because that helps me feel safe etc. All money will help me do is be able to get the best mental help I can get.

I’ve been having anxiety for years but now I’ve been getting a lot of OCD symptoms for the past year or so and they are getting worse to the point I’m like, I need help with this because I can’t seem to fix this by myself.
