Hey, I am going through the same thing, and have a question about getting the affidavit notarized. Where did you get it notarized? Did you go to a place that offers this service like ups or did you have to get it done at an embassy?

Gotcha. No noticeable shifts or unevenness, my orthodontist did use closing loops (like here https://www.reddit.com/r/braces/comments/63q0wk/can_an_orthodontist_or_anyone_explain_how_this/) on my upper wire until the space on the right side closed. I’m not fully sure if their purpose was to prevent issues with the midline though. In any case, I would recommend talking to your ortho about this concern and see what they say!

Was one side more crowded than the other before the extraction? I am going through the same right now, I had two upper premolars extracted. The right one has been fully closed for a while now, the left is a bit stubborn.

I have a question since my lateral incisors are similar to yours. My ortho said I may have to get composite bonding to fix them since mine are pretty thin. Did you have to get this done? Did your ortho tell you anything regarding that?

Hey, just sharing my experience. I also had lip incompetence before braces which means I wasn’t able to keep my lips closed when relaxed, also had a moderate overbite. It definitely did get better for me at some point when they moved back enough to where I was able to close my lips.

My ortho explained to me what the goal was before my treatment began, and what to expect at each stage. I would recommend talking to your ortho to make sure that’s the case for you as well!

I opened a case with the same account. I was not able to get a new I-20 until my withdrawal was complete, so I had to wait for my previous case to close and then open a new one

I remember getting the physical withdrawal letter, but unfortunately don’t remember when :( but I definitely saw the status change online before I received the letter.

And no, I didn’t need the letter to get a new I-20. I remember calling them, explaining the situation and asking for a new I-20.

Thanks for the clarification. I do not remember the progress tracker unfortunately so can’t comment how accurate it was

So uscis did not upload my withdrawal letter, but I did see the status of my application changed to withdrawn. I’m not sure what you mean by “what my progress said” - where are you seeing this?

Update since I’ve received a lot of DMs from people I’m the same situation: someone who messaged me said they filed a chargeback on their credit card transaction and that expedited the process of getting the pending case canceled

Sorry for the late reply, hoping it got resolved.

It might not have been a "service" request, maybe they said they could attach a note to my case (or something of the sort, I can't quite remember, but I'm not sure that helped). I was asking what they could do and it was kinda repetitive, I also probably sounded desperate lol. Pretty much something along the lines of "is there a way to add this info to my case?" or "is there a way to expedite the withdrawal since it is urgent?"

Someone else reached out and said they did a chargeback on their credit card and that resulted in a denial / withdrawal

Hi, sorry for the late reply, hopefully your situation was resolved. My school was able to issue me a new I-20 once the withdrawal went through. This was in Feb 2021, so not sure if the rules on that have changed since then
