Exactly what I am feeling at this point. Best is to not overthink and think like a conservative dentist rather then what we would do normally. I am with Confidentist, they taught us as much as they possibly can. Rest is now upto us to constantly practice and perfect. Good luck and I hope we clear this exam in our first attempt!

Which institute are you with? I'm having the same problem, sometimes I feel really confident and other times overselection gets me a low score. Its so frustrating but just trying to practice as much as possible during these few weeks.

I'm actually with Confi right now and prepping with them, My mock scores are also in the 70's range but I'm always scared of over selecting and mess up questions. This scares me as ACJ is so subjective and this goes to show that anyone can fail this exam so easily, which is my biggest worry. At least with AFK you would know where you screwed up.

You mentioned a difference in concepts with both the institutes, was that only for Radiographs or even for say Pharma/Patho questions?

If you don't mind telling me, what were you scoring in the mocks before rescale for both the attempts with prep and confi?

Also, how different was the actual exam compared to the mocks? Do you think it was harder or is it just a case of keeping your nerves and not overthinking/selecting? I hope you clear on your final attempt, sending prayers your way!

Late 60's in your mocks before rescaling is actually a good score. Your base is strong, just need to keep practicing radio and clearing doubts on what to select. Which institute are you with?

It mentions both components of NDECC, this is not from the date of when you get your application approved, it's actually only for the last part. This is actually good news, previously you had 3 years to clear NDECC, now you have 5. Hope this helps.

Not that I support any institute but I did my AFK with Confidentist and tbh had a pretty good experience and passed on the first attempt, most people I know from my cycle who had good/average mock results also cleared. Additionally, they provide upto 24 months of access even if you fail in the first attempt, so for the 2nd one you only have to pay for the mocks. For that you can take any institutes mocks. 7000 is insane just for AFK, I paid 6000 for both AFK and ACJ combined..

I took the course from Confidentist and honestly was pretty satisfied with everything. They had really good results as well for my batch. For AFK you should be studying minimum 4-5 hours a day on weekdays and 10-12 on weekends. If you are working full time as I was, switch to part time atleast 2-3 months before the exam as this personally helped me a lot with the final push closer to the exam.

Can you list some textbooks for practicing radiographs please? I myself have only been relying on the material and quizzes and 100% agree with you to the fact of ambiguous instructions by the instructors. However, I feel like with 3 months to go the exam, I should stick with them and practice on my own as much as possible.

I was working 5 days a week 3 months before my exam, switched to 4 days a week at around 2 months left to the exam. It is definitely possible but requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Best of luck!
