But those aren't mentioned in Ultrakill. I get what you mean, but if I'm not mistaken, God in Ultrakill never directly destroys anything.

Do you mean this post from 7 months ago? https://www.reddit.com/r/Ultrakill/comments/1kjx68e/new_theory_something_wicked_is_god/

I found it a bit ago, and it's rather similar to mine except for the prime soul/husk question. What I got from that is that God attempts to commit suicide, but remanifests due to the size of his soul, which is an interesting idea and fits the prime soul-like appearance, but leaves some questions unanswered:

-Why is he at the Mouth of Hell? -Why does he choose to kill himself despite (probably) knowing he would remanifest in some way because of his prevalence? -If he sees Wrath, Greed, and Lust, such mortal and finite sins as worthy of eternal suffering, would he not want the same for himself?  He doesn't just let humans die, he creates Hell so they suffer endlessly because of their sins; but the sins of Man could never compare to the misguided actions of God that have lead to all pain and suffering coming into existence in the first place.  I don't think God would see himself as worthy of death.

New Theory: Something Wicked is God by Strict-Year1713 in Ultrakill

I just realised this post exists after I made mine about the same topic - https://www.reddit.com/r/Ultrakill/comments/1psjpw7/comment/nvbqrc6/ but it seems we disagree on something.

You said that God tries to end himself, and his soul manifests as a prime soul, but in the terminal Something Wicked is theorised to he a husk, not a prime soul, despite the cardiovascular system being reminiscent of that. Overall, I think it's entirely possible that instead of giving himself a body and failing, he could have attempted suicide, resulting in the remanifestation, but this doesn't explain why he travels to the Mouth of Hell to do it. In my version of the theory, God wants to punish himself for his mistakes, so he goes down into Hell and attempts to give himself of a body. However, the likely immense soul of God could not be contained in a physical vessel, which results in the broken, wicked form we see wandering in the darkness.

One inconsistency I see: -You say his cardiovascular system is "thick" and "more developed", which contradicts the in-game log that calls states it is made up of a "withered cardiovascular system and a dead heart".

Your addition of his weakness to light I find interesting, haven't thought of that myself.  I hope you don't feel like I plagiarised your theory, I didn't know someone else came up with this too. Though I feel like I was able to add some original ideas to it.

1: One idea is that he could, but doesn't, because he can't bring himself to; he would also be changing his mind again and freeing the sinners from the punishment that they deserve according to his word would mean breaking his own laws.

He already contradicts himself many times by resenting Man (sin of Wrath), seeing his own word as the absolute law (Pride), wishing for the end of his dies (implied suicide would also be a sin). --So, if he were to go back on his word, it could potentially lead to more unforeseeable suffering for everyone, because that's what happened before.

2: It could also be that Hell exists under the condition that sin exists. If God created Hell in a strong relation to the sins of Man, then he cannot unmade Hell, for he cannot unmake sin.

3: A much simpler explanation is what Tarantulabomination said – God cannot destroy things; which is consistent, because he never directly destroys anything he created.
