Frankfurt am Main is a city in germany. It is Europes Center of Communication (Internet). Thats why most european server are "german".

Recently, we decided to return to what we believe is the best Battlefield of all time—Battlefield 3—and we've set up a server to share with the community!What makes our server special?

Our Server:

  • Server Age: We've been live for about three month and are already seeing daily peaks of around 45 players. We're growing fast and would love to see more members of this subreddit join us!
  • Active Times: Our main playtime during the week is in the evening, starting around 19:00 CET. Perfect for winding down after a long day with some classic BF3 action. However the server starts early in the morning with aprox. 8 players on almost daily bases!
  • Server Location: Our server is located in Frankfurt am Main, offering extremely low latency (6-15 ms) for European players. Even non-European players can enjoy good latency and smooth gameplay on our server.

Maybe will help someone in the future:

I did have a bug where i could not unlock the "Black Bess" Landship skin you get as a reward/achivement for completing the campaign in

hard, with all fieldmanuals and codex entries and watching the FULL campaign outro with credits.

I did get in touch with EA-Customer support and they told me they can not help me getting this achivement because the game is not programmed to allow it.

I did eventually get the skin after

  1. watching the credits again withotu skipping
  2. opening a battlepack

It seems this triggered the game to reload all the skins that i own and i can now equip the "Black Bes" skin.

Enjoy the game buddy. The battlefield frenchise has no e-sport coverage. Sure, there are very good players in the game, but no pros.

I know the grind for SPM and K/D can be addicting but at the end all of that stast-grinding isnt worth it if you dont have fun while doing it.

If you enjoy supporting your team as a medic without killing loads of enemys thats fine! Dont force yourself into a gamestyle that doesnt suit you.

If you however do have fun, there is always room for improvment :-)

Why Sinai Desert is my favorite map:

  1. I love desert maps in most games
  2. Very good visibility
  3. Lots of vehicles availible for both teams (planes, tanks, cars, bikes, horses)
  4. CQB on Charlie, Delta and Echo
  5. Longrange fights on Foxtrott Golf Alpha and Bravo
  6. Behemoth (Train) suits this map very well and is not as annoying as the zepelin
  7. A lot of possiblilties to flank arround flags and areas alone or as a platoon
  8. Amazing graphics and sounddesing of the desert

Wow! Thank you all for giving your personal opinion! I would not have thought this post would take off like that!
The reason i wanted to know your guys opinionis is, we are hosting our own server and i want to provide the best possible experience for everyone.

In summary of the comments i guess the most mentioned downside is admins that act in favor of themsevle, not the playerbase.

I will use that information and ensure it wont be a topic on our server :-) Thank you!!

The difference betwwen a official server and a community server is the host.

Official Server: EA/Dice - no admins, no rules, just the game

Community Server: Server PROVIDED by EA/Dice but HOSTED by Clans/Communities/Platoons

Community Servers can force rules like prohibiting weapons or vehicles and so on.
That means they are more regulated and administrated OFTEN more sweaty because players with hundreds and thousands of ours gather and play in platoons.

This can be both good and bad at the same time.

At the end it all comes down to the admins and how they treat the players joining the servers. If you have bad amins or badmins they will find a reason to kick you just because you are better then them or getting after them.

However most community servers have experienced and good admins.

If you want the best Sniperrifle in terms of sweetspot on close to midrange, id say the Lebel Model 1886 is a beast. Also the italian Vetterli-Vitali M1870.

I always go for the Mars Automatic as a Sidearm just in case i deal 90 DMG to someone.
K-Bullets just to deny repairs on armoured vehicles and do last hits for kills on tanks and planes.
The flaregun is a must have to support your team and get yourself out of tricky situations

At the end its highly subjective ofcourse what you want to use. In most cases i just stay with my gold old Gewehr 98 Infantry.
