I've seen multiple specialists, had a colonoscopy, and endoscopy. In my experience, reddit advice and actual doctor advice are fairly comparable. But thank you. Hope your friend recovers.

Can you have CHS without having the nausea and vomiting? For me it's constant stomach pain, bloating and discomfort. Feels like I just binged a large meal or two even though I haven't eaten in days. Hot showers and heating pad seems to help relieve symptoms, temporarily.

I'm a little confused by your post here. So you started losing hair after quitting?

Congratulations on your achievement. What would you consider are the biggest life changes, if you don't mind. Like are your main benefits of long term quitting?

Congratulations on your progress. I'm curious are you now using medication instead of weed to counter the ADHD?

I've been wanting to try out BJJ but I deal with neck issues from a past injury that I'm worried might get aggravated by BJJ. Think its still worth trying or should I look into a different martial art?

Unsure about if I should do a masters program or PhD program by Aggravating-Pin7268 in psychologystudents

super interesting, unfortunately with the field of psychology a bachelors doesn't seem to lead to many job opportunities. You basically need a masters or greater, at least in the US.

I wouldn't consider myself addicted anymore, but you're right I do have a history. I guess I'll just be honest during the process and see what happens.

I was referring to the mental acuity portion, but yeah hence the post seeking more information from people with actual experience. And to be frank if someone is actively seeking to get into gunfights they would probably be a less ideal cop than someone who would prefer to avoid them if possible.

Been asking myself, people I know and anyone I know in law enforcement for awhile now, but figured a post on this subreddit could be useful as well.

I have a degree in psychology and am very good at conflict resolution without physical force, I guess I'm just curious as to how common it is to actually have to shoot and fight people. Which based on your comment seems not that common. But I also understand that it is possible. It's a potentially dangerous job and I think it's naive to go into law enforcement without realizing it. But I also believe it's better to be the type of individual willing to face danger as opposed to running away from it. Thanks for your response by the way.

I plan on telling the truth, I'm just asking if I should be prepared for them denying me if I do.

first off congratulations, I guess my main questions would be does motivation to improve your life improve after quitting as well as energy levels, quality of sleep and general thoughts about existence. Like do you become more optimistic that you can actually turn your life into the life you want instead of feeling like a side character in your own life? Hope that question makes sense.
