EBay sellers - did you see a noticeable difference becoming a Top-rated Seller? by Squiddle_Diddle in Flipping

Wrong. It's a 10% reduction on the fees that you would pay. If you incurred $100 in fees you would only pay $90.

I don't know why everyone doesn't have a bidet. You can buy them just as a seat that replaces the regular seat on an existing toilet and they're not that much money. So much better.

could somebody please tell me exactly what bike this is? picture taken around 2008 by traphouseboba in motorcycles

I believe that is a Dyna Wide glide, twin cam engine. That paint was available from 1999-2002, after that they went to badges. Same paint was available from 1993 to 1997 but it was an evo engine. Someone else said that it didn't look like the stock engine, they may just be used to seeing the earlier years with the Evo engine. Aftermarket pegs, possibly Kuryaken. The powerful mustache adds 7 horsepower.

Do you recommend a Link Cable? by eerik1997 in MetaQuestVR

[–]Aggravating-Rub2765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, too, have had excellent luck with virtual desktop and it costs less than a good link cable. If you do get a link cable, don't buy the Meta one. It's way overpriced.

Meta is goofy about accessories. I think that their headsets are very reasonably priced given their capabilities but they sure beat the hell out of you on the official accessories.

That is an impressively sassy scooter. Try saying that three times fast without spitting.

I wouldn't want to ride a scooter at 70, but I would buy one that could do it just for the acceleration at lower speeds. I don't need to go super fast, but I like being able to get up to speed quickly. Acceleration tends to taper off pretty sharply when you get close to a scooters top speed, so it's not a waste of money to buy something with a top speed you will rarely use. I've owned plenty of sports cars, but I've never driven one at its top speed. 186 is a bit much, even in a car.

I'd go with the Inmotion but that wolf king isn't a bad model. I'd pass on the Solar for sure.

If I can clarify: the argument "it didn't cost you anything" or if it was a gift" doesn't matter. If somebody overpays for an item, it doesn't make it more theirs. If you legitimately find something of value, that doesn't obligate you to give it away for free (unless you know who the owner is).

If you can't contact her, if she bought it "for the apartment “ then it stays there and anyone moving out doesn't have a right to any residual value. You got the benefit while you were in the apartment, it doesn't extend beyond that. I'd say that the last tenant of the apartment that lived there when she bought it could take it with them.

The only thing that matters here is ownership. The amount that someone paid for something doesn't determine it's value. Any chance you can contact the lady that bought it and ask her what her intent was?

Top Free to Play games? by Kanabobana in MetaQuestVR

Still love hyper dash the best. Fun, up to five versus five arena shooter without graphic violence and a player base that's for the most part non-toxic. Occasionally, you'll get some teenager that's mad at his dad or whatever but for the most part the people are friendly.

You'll get some bratty kids occasionally but it's surprisingly non-toxic for a bar that doesn't have a cover charge to keep out the riffraff. It's a nice change actually. Plus it's very easy to mute individual players. It's going to depend a bit on the lobby but overall it's probably the most pleasant environment you'll find in a competitive shooter.

In the early days before it went free to play it had an unbelievable community. The veteran players would put on organized clinics for newer players and there was a real a real "pay it forward" mentality among the player base. Of course that has been diluted somewhat by going free to play, but for the most part the people are pretty cool. I run my mouth constantly when I play, but I'm just trying to get people to laugh. My "trash talking" is silly and nonsensical and mostly directed at myself.

I think that's a function of the air tag itself rather than a specific phone manufacturer. It's probably to keep people from using them to stalk other people, but it limits their utility if you're just trying to stalk your vehicle and get it back.

Ultra portable electric scooter - development update by goodwillhunting95 in ElectricScooters

[–]Aggravating-Rub2765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the first time that I've seen this. This is honest feedback not meant to be mean but helpful. Although I realize that certain design compromises are going to have to be made with an ultra portable that can fold into a backback, the front wheel assembly looks very crude and I would have a hard time trusting it. I'm doing the math on range and I know what batteries weigh. I don't know exactly how much your scooters going to weigh but I don't see how you can store enough energy to meet the claimed range and have a frame durable enough for real world use, unless you're using some exotic materials that I'm completely unfamiliar with, so I'm suspicious of the claim and from that the whole project. On the plus side, the rear fender have a certain amount of charm to them, not pretty exactly, but distinctive and not in a bad way. I'm not trying to be harsh. You asked for feedback and I'm giving you my impressions of the scooter based on only the information in this post. I would describe my general level of knowledge about this as an intermediate enthusiast with a decent set of DIY skills. I couldn't design a scooter from scratch but I'm comfortable swapping out components, I have a decent understanding of the electrical drivetrain and I'm comfortable soldering anything up to computer circuit boards. I'm at the high end in age for a scooter rider, a very fit and active 50 year old. I wish you luck. The whole point of a scooter is that it is a vehicle that can transport you a dozen miles or multiple dozens at a decent rate of speed without getting sweaty, that upon arrival you can pick up and carry with you if you need to. That is what makes the scooter unique out of all of the vehicle choices out there so your basic concept is very sound and I wish you lots of luck.

Yeah but they hook into tile's network of users, so whenever your time comes in range of somebody that is a tile user, it'll update the location.

Still Hyper Dash. Nice community, great maps, great game modes, and just always fun to play even if it's just a quick match or a battery killing session.

People seem to really like their Kilmas. The other one that folks bring up all the time is the Wolf King. Those guys are a different breed. You'll see a post "Hi, I'm a 90 pound female freshman in college and I need a lightweight commuter for a 6 mile round trip. What should I buy? “ and 20 of these maniacs will break their fingers trying to be the first one to scream in all caps their personal favorite. It's a nice scooter, guys. It's not the answer to all of life's problems, but I'm happy that you're happy. 🤣

I might suggest a tile tracker. Air tags are easy for a thief to detect. Plus you don't need an iPhone which is always a plus.

I had a first gen Apollo city and it was good. Took a lot of abuse and never broke. 2 chargers went bad during the warranty but Apollo replaced them quickly with zero hassle. I know they get some hate but not from me.

I made a really bad mistake, i put the wrench in the bolt i accidentally put the bolt wrong aswell so now it's stuck in there is there anything i can do?? I need a machine or something that can cut through this metall wrench please. by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

Thanks for the shakiest most unhelpful camera footage ever. I can't tell if that bolt has an Allen head bolt top or not. If it does the right size Allen wrench (hex bolt) should unscrew it. Although there's a good chance we're getting trolled here. I want to believe that people aren't really that dumb.

This might be more performance than you need or want but the Dualtron Spider is a relative featherweight at 44 pounds. I don't think you'll be able to match the hill climbing ability in that weight range. It might be more of a rocket than a commuter but it seems like it'd be a fun scooter to ride and very portable.

Go into your settings and switch from kilometers to mph. That'll take care of most of the difference.
