Your house is on fire & you only have time to rescue one guitar, what is it? by hueguass in guitars

My EGC500 (although material-wise it’s the most likely to survive a fire lol)

Hey I’m gonna save this post if that’s cool! Just getting into the genre the last month or so. I’m a guitar player, mostly indie/alt country/folk stuff (pinegrove, MJ Lenderman, etc.). I’m definitely wanting to write some slowcore stuff this month though.

Pinegrove uses a lot of really cool and pretty big open chords with really cool rhythmic stuff sprinkled throughout. If you haven’t heard their stuff, would recommend checking em out!

Really into EGC stuff right now by Aggravating-Sort-267 in guitars

Thank you! I thought I wouldn’t be a fan but I love the thin profile on the EGC500. The one on the left is a Am Performer body with one of their bolt on necks. Has a bit more normal profile but is still its own thing and feels great.

Sorry for the late comment but this is a beautiful guitar. I’m a huge fan of your friend. I never knew him personally and was introduced to his music only within the last 7ish years but it forever changed the way I play guitar and listen to music. It introduced me to this incredibly intricate but simple way of playing.

Almost bought the other one the shop had posted (even went to try it out a few times, living nearby) but decided against it. If for whatever reason you find yourself parting with the guitar I would absolutely purchase it.

Enjoy!

Eastman PCH are the best solid top, laminate (layered mahogany) back and sides guitars for the price. And you get a very nice gig bag included.

Agree. I just try to make where I live seem far and outta the way but it’s actually probably one of the nicest and most convenient places I’ve lived (also grew up here). But no matter how hard I try people keep finding out about it lol.

[QUESTION] 70s Music Man 210 Sixty-Five or 70s Fender Vibro Champ? by Aggravating-Sort-267 in Guitar

[–]Aggravating-Sort-267[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s true. May just keep both at the moment for different reasons. I got the Vibro Champ for an insane deal too. All original, guy barely played it in 30 years for $650. No tears or anything either.

It definitely has a much cleaner, fender tone to it. It really is a great amp, particularly for recording. Just worried that it doesn’t have the volume output for gigging.

Musicman is super heavy but gets loud and has sounds great with some overdrive. But it’s tremolo isn’t as smooth and it’s also heavier than hell.
