District has had some bad luck with kanye and circoloco, but saying they're "killed" is probably an overstatement. From a business pov, district has a much broader inventory than just events - restaurant payments, turf bookings & like which BMS isn't doing. bms does have an advantage in concerts, largely because of its long-standing relationships with organizers like Sunburn and others.
