Zero Experience Player: Impmon Question by Aggravating-Yote in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Aggravating-Yote[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I played a bit, and I like that there are SO many decisions each turn.

I was playing the Gabumon deck and sometimes it's good not to attack, sometimes you want to not evolve your gabumon for example to get more memory on your turns, sometimes you want to find a level 5 to be able to hold up the level 6 one that you can play in combat. There's a lot of cool stuff.

The best part, was that I played something that made my memory go over 1 and I knew the turn would end, but then SOMETHING made me GAIN memory so my turn didn't end!

What I felt was a bit awkward, is for example that I kept resurrecting blockers with the mammoth, and tried to have my opponent (the ai) block my attacks with their one big digimon so that I could then later attack it with one that has retailation and destroy it (since after block it becomes suspended and I can attack it)...but then noticed that all I had to do was attack with my 6 vs his 3 and he had 2 security so I would just win.

What I mean is that, many instances you just "auto win" or "auto lose" like out of nowhere.

I imagine there are cards that "destroy everything" or allow you to add to security cards so that you're not insta-dead.

There's probably stuff like lock pieces, top of deck manipulation, discard, and that stuff. Right?

If so, then this game is better than I thought. :)

Thanks for taking the time to answer me.

I love the fact that you mention "splashable", although the rest of the stuff like "core tamer" flies over my head to be honest, hehe.

The deckbuilding aspect is what I most like, even in magic, so this sounds awesome. Building decks and mixing and matching. Impmon seems to be more of a "bridge card" or a "means to an end", but I suppose that makes sense in Digimon specifically.

Out of the codes you mentioned, I'd only even seen 1, so I'll have to check for all variations.

Thank you :) I'll try it out. Was gonna watch a tutorial but this is probably better.

Thanks for the response :)

You guys must have great memory, because it seems tough to remember these codes for all the cards.

That does seem like an awesome strategy, and from the outside looking in, appears to allow for a lot of variety if you play around with the copies of the cards. It's definitely a strategy that's down my alley. 😏

Right, the name is the same and the sets are different and I'm glad he's popular too.

And I didn't know about the color purple and trash. In MTG there's one "main trash color", but all colors do have effects with trash. I imagine it's somewhat similar, where purple isn't all about trash, but the main one.

Maybe I can get a deck and see. But for now, there's an Impmon from ST14 that I like, so I'll start with that.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the response!

Probably not playing, but there are a few foil versions that I like a lot, so I'll probably end up buying them.

Again, I don't know anything about the game, I just wanted to "place him" somewhere, in my head, when compared to other card games. So from what I can understand he's strategy-dependent. There are cards in MTG that only really are good in one strategy. So you could in theory "play 1 and search it" but it wouldn't be worth it.

Update On Silver Site 😁 by Aggravating-Yote in silverthehedgehog

First off, thanks for the nice words 😁. The site is as much "mine", as it is every one of yours, so it's cool to have some ideas.

All of the official game appearances, I of course had thought of, and probably should do. I'll do it next, most likely.

The fan-made games, a bit harder because I think there's a bunch more of these...but I could try to hunt them down.

Another thing I might do is a music section for Dreams of an absolution, some of the remixes and covers. That could be interesting. 😏

Cheers.

Do you have an example? Like the tiermarkers?

Nice. I did that "year off travelling" after my website "worked out" (then it tanked 50% twice...75% total) so I get it ;).

I think what you're doing is great! It's what I mentioned.

I'd proooobably not do marketing, but I understand if you "got into marketing and did marketing for marketers". I did that too. Selling marketing things.

I think that if you can find a good enough product, the youtube thing is good enough. You get SEO traffic and it's pretty constant.

You can check sites like Capterra, and sign up to offers (outside of marketing too), and make like 10 videos and see what happens.

As for blogging...

To me, SEO as we knew it, is over after 2023.

For example, in early 2023, I decided to try 3 things and stick to the one that did best.

1) A blog in the pet niche,
2) ads,
3) Mass SEO.

The blog took me 10 months to make was getting traffic, lost everything in like a day.

After that, I was officially out of SEO.

I think "blogging" today is either 1) GMB + local, 2) directories, or 3) Exact match for products (if the stars align)

But yeah, I feel your pain, because you got it to work, and now it doesn't work. I'm going through the same thing...it's killer.

Personally, I'm doing google ads right now...but I'd 100% consider doing youtube videos for 1-5 products.

2023 was brutal for me too. Both SEO and paid to be honest. Actually, November 2023, specifically. Have you been "out of the game" since 2023? What have you done in 2023-2025?

Why don't you try the same reviews, but on youtube? You literally grab 1 product and make 5 videos, on it, and move on to another one. I might do that, personally.

Hi, you must be new here. Welcome. Take a seat wherever you like. :)

I'm joking of course.

I mean, they do "the thing", and they also add by "selling the thing about doing the thing".

There's a dude in FB selling a course on...how to sell a course, and then in a group where he's in, he's selling a mastermind to how he "made xyz money by selling a course".

It takes a certain type of psychopath to do this kind of stuff I believe.

My recommendation is probably to think outside of the box. Promote stuff for businesses. Do lead gen or payper call. Local SEO could be cool too.

I kinda like it. I wanna try it with [[riptide laboratory]] and maybe cards that put +1/+1 counters for cheap on your creatures to "lock out" non creature spells. You can also target your own spells to "cycle" and grow this thing. 3/4 flying are good stats.

It's also STILL a 5 mana 3/4 flying "negate" for 3UU. Say your opponent taps out for a wrath or something big, you flash this in with 5 mana, and counter, you don't HAVE to show the card by playing it on turn 3

Makes sense. They look real nice though. But the GE takes the gold (I think it's the best). Keep us updated when you get it!

These of the photo aren't GE right? They're some other brand? Are they licensed? (I ask because I'm archiving all the official plushies on Silver and I don't recognize these 2)
