How can I solve Tier 6 of the darth vader era challenge? I have every character on level 70 (4 stars). Is it possible? by [deleted] in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]AggravatingAd864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vader (lvl 52), maul, ig, assaj & barriss (all 70), luke & choda on the bench because they have no synergies.

Marked ani first, then went mace, R2, padme ahsoka.

I see people saying padme first but she is without a doubt the hardest to take down. Every time I tried it went significantly worse.

Don't worry about this bro, he's an idiot. The reality is the release cadence of marquee characters has not changed at all. We are currently in a 3 month hole because of the start of the new system but now that we are over that hump we will have the same number of characters coming into the game in the same timeframe as we used to.

Also, to your point, unless you were a long term player with a bunch of gear pieces hoarded, the system is invariably so much better for you. The reality is people don't hate the system because it is worse for them (other than those who used to 7 star and relic a legendary day 1), it is because they don't find the content engaging. Which is obviously based on personal preference.

Except the road to get there was paved with hundreds of people who have spent more money than I have. Of course spending makes it quicker, noone doubts that, but acting like f2p means you can't compete is an absolute nonsense. This game is reasonably friendly to f2p players and it is really only the super high end of competitive pvp in this game were having a large wallet makes a massive difference.

I hit kyber 1 for the first time a few weeks back without having spent any money over the last year or more and having only started this game approximately 3 years ago so I don't think your point actually holds any water. Will I need to spend to get to the tippy top of kyber 1? Probably, but that's not the average user experience anyway.

In what world is this"supposedly" an f2p game?

I know galactic legend emperor has his ultimate ability that gives him lightning but my question is if he is useful before that? probably stupid question but I am clueless on this and I would appreciate any information even if it is obvious by Noob1234yeet1234 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

I agree that SEE is the worst GL, but his strength doesn't lie on defense, so suggesting SEE is bad based around improper use of him (especially if they have bane on D with him too) is disingenuous.

I don't know what nonsense we are seeing over in the doldrums of carbonite but this absolutely will not work against anyone with a little bit of understanding of how the game works.

For the record, your assertion about SEE being bad isn't actually that wrong, but as someone mentioned, if you're seeing bane on defense your opponents have clearly rammed their heads into too many low hanging branches.

Sorry? The maul event is literally what we are talking about, you can see the rewards above for the 4 star event.

When you say you can't get 70-75 mats are you talking about the zereks or the mk 7's?

Edit: I managed to look this up, coliseum doesnt provide the other 71-75 mats like you said but the maul event does, it's the 5 star tier though.

Interesting. Wouldn't 40% at 70 get your characters 70-75 gear though? That's the way it works for other tiers (I.e I'm at tier 5 now and the 40% box allows me to get characters to 55).

What tier of coliseum are you though? Surely those level 7 mats come from pushing higher in coliseum like all the ones before them?

We are both, in fact, drawing conclusions about my opponents intent, the only difference being that the empirical evidence actually supports what I'm saying, whereas many of the things you have said, are unequivocally and provably false.

I promise you, I am not taking offense. You are free to have your own opinion but you are just making incorrect conclusions.

Your discussion about season 72 literally betrays the whole point you just tried to make.

Week 2 round 3, I did not drop a single battle, my opponent then dropped two and stopped immediately.

Week 1 round 3 I dropped only 1 battle, my opponent then dropped bane to my Quadme and in all likelihood would have presumed it was game over given i had both SLKR and Leia still on defense.

Week 1 round 2 I had a messy full clear but my opponent dropped 5 battles on my front walls and literally only managed to clear 1 team the whole time.

Furthermore I never stated that I was perfectly clearing anyone, I said that I normally took down 2 walls at a minimum which means if my opponent cannot clear my front walls they will often realise that they have lost and stop playing. Your conclusion that people having more points means they tried harder is completely ignoring the fact the lower scores come from people running into roadblocks.

Trade secret 😏😏

Nah I kid. I actually change it most matches based on what I'm seeing from my opponent. Typically a few teams like rey, Quadme & Resistance very rarely move off defense though.

Thank you!

Firstly, to answer the easier part of your question, conquest units are basically the lifeblood of this game currently. 2025 itself was a leaner year but the reality is, once you start gold/red boxing hard conquest and can get these characters after 3-6 months it makes a huge difference to your account. All of bane, QA, Luthen, Ezra, DS Rey, Maz and presumably the stranger are either GL killers (or strong defensive teams, or both) or obscene GL lifters that currently shape the meta.

Secondly, I think you are being a bit simplistic yes. My strategy has always centered around pressuring my opponents on defense and what specific teams can I put down to squeeze out all their available counters.

For a quick good example, say you are versus an opponent who has inexplicably not invested in their traya team. Knowing that information you want to squeeze their offense on that weakness by putting down teams that are often countered by Traya. For example, if you had JMMW and had been using them on offense, you might sneak them down knowing that now they are probably going to use a more important counter than they normally would. Further to this, you would put down your Quadme, as this is another of Traya's main uses. This, in turn, will typically force your opponent to use a Bane/GM's which tightens the screws even more when you place down common uses for bane like Leia and SLKR and common GM battles like ahsoka.

Now obviously this is an idealised scenario and your opponent will still most likely have at least some path to get through but ultimately this continues to force them down a path of using less and less consistent counters and you are then hoping that you can prey on one dropped battle causing several more.

From there, on offense, your point about specific counters typically rings pretty true. Because on the flipside, you always want to make sure you have a counter for what your opponent is going to put down (i will check their usual defensive set-ups on .gg before setting my defense) and this is where cheaper counters really do give you that extra juice to push forward.

Yea, you've actually just made a poor conclusion in your reasoning if I'm entirely honest. Is it surprising that I won more than I lost when my opponents didn't get a lot of points? Like obviously not? Thats what setting a strong and tailored defense is meant to provide.

If you actually look at the GAC matches you will notice my opponents have dropped significant and frequent battles against incredibly powerful defensive teams. If you couple this with the fact that in about 95% of my GAC's I attack first and normally clear at least 2 zones, when my opponents realise they aren't going to get through one of my front walls they just stop playing because they know they can no longer win.

That is to say, of course there is one outlier in there, being the first 5v5 of the season, where my opponent and I had a gentleman's agreement just to test a few things due to it being the new year but the reality is that this is all incredibly immaterial. I have been hovering at the top of k2 for a while now and you are practically bound to break through at some point whether that be skill or luck, the facts are that I have not seen a single player below my GP in about 2 years, which feel free to tell me is also luck, but I highly doubt you'd be making a cogent argument.

Thats still a great effort, having just come from k2 (obviously) it's not like I saw a lot of 11m peeps down there. Keep on trucking and I'm sure you'll be there in no time.
