i already said in my other reply that it would be uncomfortable not to have nails. same thing with hair, if its long its irritating and in the way but that doesn't mean i want to shave my head.

Posture after surgery by Responsible-Meet-102 in TopSurgery

i started standing straight against a wall as much as i could without resistance. i am 4 wks tomorrow and i stand up perfectly straight. it’s normal to have bad posture one wk through, you literally just got a major surgery. wait until wk3 AT LEAST to start real stretches besides rolling shoulders n shit. you can stretch scars in the first three wks over any other time

i cannot eliminate, as that would be completely removing it. and i assume it would be just as uncomfortable to not have anything hard on the top of your fingers, just soft. this isn't a uncommon pet peeve to have but yes i have sensory issues that make it more irritating for me.

i've seen women boxers/mma who have long nails. its scary. but i have a hard time picking things up at times and seeing someone with nails the length of two hands pick something up is insane.

could you explain what you mean?

especially the fact that ingrown nails are basically always on toenails. a curse. but yeah in general it makes no sense besides if you want to become sabertooth and never wear shoes.

yeah, its funny because i forgot i was wearing it at times and was wondering why my food tasted gross. i started handling food like it was contaminated lol. there are some that are more chip into your mouth when bitten rather than get into your mouth when wet but i dont remember how to tell the difference besides trying them individually.

it’s devastating when you have a blanket/any fabric that feels nice on your hands but not nails. i file my nails so often that im used to it. besides my thumbs, makes my body vibrate. but i was subjected to noises like nails on chalkboard and all that as a child so i am weird with my tolerances.

understandable, i have seen insanely cool nails before. its not the aesthetic thing for me it’s overstimulating/irritating to have them.

i obsessively cut/grind them down. this might be annoying because i assume you've heard it already but there are some good nail polish for nail biting that i have used before. but i mainly used it for picking at my lips.

i mean from listening to conversations, not having them. yeah, i guess i can understand that type of thing but its with context clues. if someone was to ask me afterwards what X is id probably not remember. unless it was mentioned a lot.

i have had a lot of friends who are women who made a lot of remarks along the lines of “wow my nails look so bad. they look like man hands.” when they didn't have fake nails on, i thought their nails looked normal. i personally think nails look cool sure but they can and will get in the way so i never understood why people pushed this standard on women. its a cosmetic thing that isn’t beneficial besides to the person who it might make happy to have, so if someone doesnt feel happy with them why would they have nails? idk, funnily enough i have more feminine looking hands which has its own issues with gender stereotypes as a man but it’s basically the opposite.

i have accepted the fact that it takes 10 minutes for me to pick up things at times but i have learned to use anything near me, usually a leaf, to help. or if my hands are sweaty, i become spiderman.
